Definitely a spot to visit with friends to grab some drinks & tacos. The ambiance was nice, the service was great. I thought the appetizers were ok. We ordered alot of variety of tacos to try them all. They were all ok. The best ones would be the shrimp & chicken tacos, felt like there was more flavour to it.View more

Let's start from pros Cool ambiance, cool place & decor. The service, nothing crazy, but on point. The food, overpriced & very poor in quantity, not other then an expensive tapas. Missing flavors, the drink kind overpriced too but, was actually good. I took the mezcal mule !View more

The food was very good, but way too expensive for very small portions. We spent $90 (2 people, 1 drink each), & we left still hungry. That isn't normal. Only once we were sitting at the table were we told that it's a "tapas theme" restaurant. Their website doesn't mention this. If it was, we would not have made reservations there. That feels sneaky on the restaurant's part. The ambiance & service were great. I would give this place a higher rating if it weren't for the unreasonably expensive prices for such small portions. I'd recommend this place for drinks & a snack, but not for an actual meal.View more

Very busy place. Food is good, almost actual mexican food. I didn't like the guacamole, it looked a little to green , almost florescent. Service was great. They do 2 servings a night but if you get there at 6 PM for first service its plenty of time. I would go back.View more

Very disappointing experience; we ordered the Escondite experience. Regardless of whether the price is worth it or not (which personally I think it s overpriced for what we got), the food taste was less then average. We got a cucumber salad (not impressed at all with the taste) a guacamole (maybe the only minidish that we could finish), 4 small tacos (pork & beef very dry) & ribs which was average. Seeing the stars given by other people who actually ate there; I am very surprised & disappointed. The staff did not even distinguish which platters were the shared ones & we had to guess. My personal opinion: i do not recommend this Mexican place neither for the food nor the ambiance (we had to cut our dinner short because of the 1hr30min service which you might want to consider if you are reuniting with friends & don't want to be rushed!)View more

We had a great experience at Escondite Laval! We were a group of 20 people & everyone was happy with the service & quality of food. The staff & manager were very attentive & accommodating! This is more like a drink place , I thought was a restaurant. The food is a little pricey but is good in general. I personally didn't like the general Chapo, the sweet sauce it was not good, is like they pour the whole jam on the chicken & it was hard to enjoy. We also had tacos which were very good but also small, almost like snack size & they cost $11 for 2 so yeah. I feel like we didn't have a lot of things (just 2 drinks & 2 plates) & the bill went up to $80 The place is generally good , don't get me wrong, the atmosphere is nice for a bar, but is pricey for the portion they serve The staff were friendly & attentive all the time.View more
