Great spot in the West Island with a great vibe & staff. The owner Kosta & manager Nico are class acts & their efforts show in the service & feel. Food & drinks are great. Highly recommend.

We had 10 of us there for my birthday last night. We got our arrival time wrong & they still did their best to accommodate us. The food was top notch!! Class act service from the manager. Thank you for making my day great!
EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE!!! I live outside Montreal & needed to send a special meal to a friend who lives in DDO. I thought this would not be a difficult task. After all, there are many food delivery services available these days. I could not have predicted the hassle this endeavour would turn into. The family specifically asked for a meal from Monza. Not being a Montrealer, I never heard of this restaurant . But after dealing with an online order to this establishment, through a delivery company ( I will not mention which company) this task quickly turned into a fiasco! That being said, l was extremely impressed by the professionalism, dedication & care I received from the staff at Monza. They took matters into their own hands, even saying that they will personally deliver the meal on time! Niko & Costa went above & beyond to reassure that everything will be prepared & delivered on time as per my order. I happened to be on the phone to my friend when the food was delivered. I could hear the excitement as they opened each food container. I later heard that the meal was exquisite & that everyone loved it. I huge thank you to Costa, Niko & the entire team at Monza. At a time when it is rare to find even adequate service, you & your team have exceeded expectations both in terms of customer service & quality of food. Thank you!!!!
Pizza is good. As for the pasta I would expect a better quality of pasta. Sauce is good. I feel like it's cheap pasta, they give you a big plate but I would expect better quality. The calamari entrée is good.
Food: I ordered BISTECCA ALLA GRIGLIA which I think is a 7/10. The steak was okay, didn't exceeded my expectation. Though, I love the taste of mashed potato & other sides. Last time, I ordered ORECCHIETTE SALSICCIA E RAPINI pasta, it's a 10/10 for me. &, my friend ordered a LAMB SHANK which I tried & it tastes good. It's a 9/10, not a 10/10 because it had too much sauce. Ambiance: I like how cozy the place is with dim lights. It was loud when we went there, but no big deal. Service: The server was friendly & patient enough to answer our questions & she gave us recommendations. Overall, it was a good experience.
Our anniversary date night, just us 2, no kids, was spent there. Well, don't go on a Saturday night. I have a decibel app on my phone, & it measured 100 db spl: that's like a vacuum cleaner next to your ears; we were literally shout-talking to hear one another's words. I was looking forward to my fettuccine tartuffo with all the ingredients, but it was so heavy on the creamy sauce, that's all I could taste. I had to stop eating; & I came there hungry, ready to eat a lot. Our salad we had to start was a bit exaggerated on the dressing; the key lime pie we shared for dessert was not as light as we expected but very heavy & creamy. We both couldn't finish it. This is rare, as I am one to always finish everything. I left feeling bloated & not satisfied, really. Was expecting a pleasant time on our anniversary, I was relieved to get to the parking lot & get my hearing back. It's a bit pretentious to come off as an elite destination with the elevated price point the meals are set at cause they don't match the average quality. They may be riding on the coat tails of past success. Or maybe, Saturday night is a bit overwhelming for the staff. The waitress was very polite but sure seemed overwhelmed: she came once to ask if our meal was correct, that's it. She didn't bring the small plates for the starters, she never brought the bread we asked for with our salad, we had to ask a bus-boy. Montreal is full of restaurants to choose from: I think I'll be skipping this one. I don't mind paying the big bucks on a special night out, but this was not worth it at all .
Used to be one of my favourite restaurants, but I don't think I'll be back. Came in at 7 in a Friday, & asked to be seated in a booth, but was told By the host/manager that the booths in the front were reserved, & that the other booths were being held for groups of five or more. Since we were 2, we couldn't sit there. Two hours later, nobody ever ended up sitting in any of those booths. Ordered the arancini; on the menu it says prosciutto inside. They've changed it to food service junk. Rice balls were hard on the outside, steaming hot from a microwave but still cold on the inside, with some sort of liquid cheese, & chunks of basic ham, not cured prosciutto. Ordered an old-fashioned, got a glass of whiskey with ice & water in it; no Bitters, no simple syrup, & no orange...Just a lemon on the rim - If you don't know what it is Google it! Or ask the customer! & if you don't have simple syrup, then just say you can't make the drink, I'll order something else. Pizza was OK, nothing bad to say about that. Was asked if we wanted bread & butter, got these two pathetic ciabatta buns in a metal bowl, with no lining in it. Junk dinner for two, for 130 bucks plus tip. Your restaurant was half empty on a Friday night - if not for two large groups, it would've been a Ghost Town; if you're asking yourself why...Read this review again
Great family restaurant! The ambiance is warm & friendly & the service is great. Many options to choose from, they're sensitive to allergies, just an overall awesome place to go with your kids.. or to the bar for a drink & great music! Thank you Monza DDO!
