We were after spending a long day walking around Montreal, visited the viewing point on Mount Royale & were walking back towards our accommodation looking for some where to have an late afternoon drink. Spotted the beer taps through the open windows & headed in side. We perched ourselves at the counter & ordered the pints of Else's lager & sat enjoying a locals bar.
This visit led to two more visits for food & nothing that we had was disappointing & surprisingly very reasonable with great service for all 3 visits. It's a place not to be missed in a very cool part Montreal.
My partner & I LOVE this place. We come here quite often, & genuinely some of the best vegetarian food in this cities we have both tried. Now, we are fake vegetarians, meaning we will order meat sometimes but steer away from it simply because we don't like it. But every time we eat here, we will choose to order the Veggie sliders because they are almost better than the Bison sliders. The in-house carrot cake is divine, & the beer selection is somewhat limited but there is something for everyone.
Yes, the service takes a while sometimes, but we personally don't mind. When we go out to eat, we don't want to immediately eat & leave within 45 minutes. I like taking the time to sit down & relax at my restaurant of choice, & enjoy good conversation or play cards while sipping the drink I ordered! The service here absolutely lends itself to this. I am SUCH a big fan of this place, please please PLEASE don't pass it up!

Everything about this place is absolutely amazing. We came in on Tuesday afternoon for lunch on the recommendation of a friend, & we were not disappointed. We ordered the butter chicken & the shrimp tacos & 2 pints of blonde beer. We've been living in Montreal for 3 years & wish we had discovered this place sooner. The male bartender was absolutely AMAZING, best service we've had in Montreal. We will be back very soon!
Came in after a couple two many beers at a poetry night nearby with my wife. The waiter that welcomed us was super nice as well as the one that took our order. love y'all. unfortunately the food didn't meet our post bar graillance. On est rentré avec de la earth shattering graillance & le burger (double mini burger) n'a pas satisfait ma faim & expectations mais le goût étais tout du moin impeccable. Par exemple, l'ambiance étais vraiment incroyable. Ça parait qu'on est sur le plateau #woke. Overall tout fesait une expérience exquise & service 10/10. Place recommandée pour rallumer la flamme ou éviter un divorce.

We settled at a round table nestled among lush plants & vintage artwork, the perfect setting for an unhurried evening. Sharing shrimp tacos & pulled pork mac & cheese, paired with beers that hit all the right notes, we found comfort not just in the food but in the entire experience. The service was genuinely kind, the vibe easygoing, & the space seemed to invite good conversation. It's the sort of place that stays with you.
Came here with a few friends to have a drink. When I came at 930pm it was packed which is understandable. However, it's not reasonable for the staff to take 7 minutes to understand you are standing there at the door waiting to ask for table time. We ended up being put at the bar which was fine. Ordered a few beers & realized what I was given I've seen at the SAQ sold for $3 a can & sold for 10$ at the bar.
