Heard lots of good things about this place from many different people. Food was good, but the service wasn't up to standard. Ordered 2 apps, a salad, a pasta & a pizza to be shared between 2 people. The apps came normally but the pasta then came super late, 10 minutes later the salad came, & by the time we were full from eating everything after waiting for so long, the pizza then came. No word from the servers.View more

Elena is incredible! We had no reseveration & it was quite busy but they explained that they have a takeout section & picnic tables in the back so that's what we did. We got the Kevin McAllister & the Fun Guy pizzas, as well as the kale cesar salad & some wine. Everything was incredible! I would highly recommend the Fun Guy pizza it was delicious. Really loved the outdoor picnic area, a great idea for a busy area. Will for sure go back!View more

Keal's Caesar salad is unbeatable, fresh vegetables, crispy croutons & delicious dressing, covered in Parmesan cheese... delicious.

My first time here by recommendation of a coworker. Elena has an incredible menu. The food was excellent, we followed the advice of our waitress & ordered an entry of strachiatella carrots, then Kale Ceasar's salad, Danny Pizza. We got a great service despite the place was packed on a long weekend Friday night. Very nice & chic atmosphere.View more

Très bon. Surtout la salade de kale & le ragoût classique.
La pizza saucisse & scarole est très bonne & équilibrée. Je l'ai préféré aux autres que j'ai goûté, je l'ai trouvé plus subtile. Les classiques sont évidemment très bonnes aussi.
Pour ma part, ce qui fait que je reviens c'est le mafalda al ragu.View more

We were seated at the bar. Bartender who also took our orders was very attentive, friendly & explained the menu well. The restaurant itself has very dim lighting with minimal decoration. Trendy yet simple. We ordered the supplì, Dante salad, beet with stracciatella, diavolo pizza & the special pasta of the night which was ravioli stuffed with butternut squash in a butter sage sauce. For dessert we got the olive oil cake which was super moist! All tasted great but i wasn't blown away either. Very basic italian dishes. Service was great & did not feel rushed. Not sure i would go back just because the menu didn't make me curious for more.View more

Pleasant night out in a vibrant eatery. The service was top notch - multiple staff attentive to our table & needs, prompt without feeling rushed. The food was very tasty. The kale salad & malfada pasta were the highlights. Recommend sharing a variety of dishes among your table rather than everyone on their own menu, as the menu & service is perfected for this communal experience.View more

My experience began with the reservation platform giving me an error message for 20 min & then we called. Called no answer but we got a call back. We didnt ask where we would be seated because we didnt know the layout of the place so we ended up being placed at the bar .... by the door ( ....so ask ). The kale ceasar salad was great with a mountain of parmesan cheese & the right amount of dressing . Now for the pizza our choices were diavolo 2.0 & the funghi ; for me the tomato sauce was too watery the meat didnt have as much flavor or kick as i wouldve expected from a diavolo so the whole thing fell through but i really enjoyed the funghi that had the flavor of the mushroom & parmesan collide in harmony, i will add that the crust was perfect in both. The pasta ( all'amatriciana) was average at best ,with so many good italian restaurants in the city unfortunately this one did not bring it home for me, the guanciale was burnt & again the sauce was watery. The dessert : Gateau au Chocolat , is a brownie texture shaped into a cake slice topped with ice cream , good but maybe heated ? The service was good & the staff was knowledgeable & at your service , simple & effective. Overall not a bad experience but will i go back ? Honestly a bit overrated. Pasta dish was really good, Kale salad too, but if you're known as a place for good pizza & the unseasoned tomato sauce on your Margherita ($28) overpowers everything & makes the pizza tastes kinda a** then you're doing sth wrong imo. On top of that the waiters messed up our orders 2 times. That can happen but if the prices are how they are at Elena then I'd expect sth else.View more

This place is wonderful, they have such a great set up for kids in the back where you can order counter service & eat at picnic tables. Food is amazing, wine recommendations are great & loved the atmosphere. Pizzas are great but don't skip the pasta & salads too!View more

Elan is a wonderful restaurant that has come highly recommended for some time now, & I'm happy that it lives up to the hype. Great food with excellent service in a warm & comfy atmosphere. They easily make the best cannoli in Montreal, their pizza is great, & they have a good & diverse wine list. Their full bodied red called "Pacina" was absolutely spectacular! The Panzanella salad was also delicious, but unfortunately its croutons had an odd gummy texture. Nevertheless, we had a great time throughout our meal, but when we ordered dessert our cappuccino never arrived & so we had to cancel it. Needless to say, it's not fun to eat your dessert without coffee. Otherwise, Elena well worth the visit.View more

Les croûtons de la salade de kale sont aussi exceptionnels, mais le prix est bien trop dispendieux pour de la salade avec peu d'ingrédients. Ce n'est pas un plat principal.Trop de vinaigrette sur la salade verde. Livre Elena en anglais. Pourquoi? Mousse au chocolat décevante. Arrière-goût que je ne peux décrire (beurre? trop salé?). Belle ambiance, mais très bruyant. Le son rebondit sur les murs, je crois, mais ce n'est pas leur faute. Bon service, ils sont gentils, l'embauche semble basée sur des valeurs inclusives, mais ce sont tous des millénariaux/gen Z). J'espère juste que c'est le fruit du hasard & qu'il n'y a pas d'âgisme.View more

Delicious Pizza, great service & ambiance! We tried the M. Funguy,The rossa with Anchois, & a Marguerita pizza, along with a verde & kale cesar salad! (I would definetly recommend this kale cesar, soo delicious, & same for the M.Funguy, my favorite). It's a hidden gem in the suburbs of Montreal!! Everything we got was amazing.. kale Cesar salad, pasta & pizza!! I wish I could have eaten more but I was already so full.. haha! Service was also perfect.. we did not feel like it was too fast, but had ample time to enjoy our meals without the waitress rushing us. We sat outside, its cute. Personally because I'm pregnant, I was hot. Next time will sit inside. I HIGHLY recommend this place. We enjoyed it so much we'd like to come back again tomorrow!!View more

Stumbled upon this spot, the place was packed & buzzing on a weekday so I had high expectations... the Cesar salad was great, tried a couple of pizzas: the quality is clearly excellent but the mix of toppings didn't make a lot of sense to me... wasn't a big fan of the flavours; I would suggest to stick to classics.View more

Food was delicious. Service was abysmal. First let me say that the food at this restaurant is outstanding. Really lovely dishes executed well. I made a reservation for 12 for my Best friends bachelorette weekend, & recut very kind very encouraging email back ensuring that they were extremely accommodating for dietary restrictions/preferences. As soon as we arrived I informed our waiter that we had one vegan in the group & if there was a way to accommodate her in the pre-fix menu courses. She said "of course, no problem." Great! Dishes start to arrive, including a delicious ceasar salad & asparagus dish . Nothing has been modified. Ok.... Maybe they're taking a while with the vegan options. Then the pizzas came, nothing. Our vegan friend had starting eating our crusts. Then the pasta dishes, at this point it's been an hour & a half since we sat down & our friend is starving. We politely asked our waiter several different times in between courses of the vegan fooos was coming, a salad dressed with a vinegary would suffice, & they kept saying "yes yes., sorry." They sent out a complementary drink for the table to apologize, but it was half finger of Paloma or some batch chill, hardly anything. I finakky got up out of my seat & go over to the bar & say "hi you know our friend still hasn't had anything to eat & she's very hungry, where is her meal?" & the waitress said that it was her mistake, she'd forgotten to put the orders in with the vegan modification, but she'd make sure the meal was made right now. Right now? It had been hours & we'd already prodded them three times. One of my friends even said "I thought we were being annoying with how many times we asked about it!" So then our friend FINALLY gets a bowl of pasta with red sauce. Everyone else has finished eating. She's like, hurrying to finish since they have a 2.5 hour limit for big groups. Then, insult to injury, I get the bill & the prefix menu has been charged for all 12 of us, including the vegan. I take a look & say, "please remove her from this bill she didn't get to eat anything." & they agreed. But then they came Back & handed our friend HER OWN BILL! Charging her for a kid's menu $17 charge. I was floored. We had bought several bottles of wine everyone got at least one cocktail, the bill was well over $1000 & here they were trying to charge our poor friend for her pathetic meal. We insisted she not have to pay, but the waitress countered that she had comp'ed some drinks for the table & wasn't that good enough? We were silent & in disbelief & the manager came over to ask what was wrong. We finally got them to drop her charge but OH MY GOD. I've never felt more absolute disregard or a lack of care for a group. We were polite, spent a ton of money & the least they could have done was eat the $17 dollars. I think that if they're not plant based friendly, they need to own up to that fact. (Several reviews on here suggest that they've treated other vegetarians & vegans similarly) or do better. Other restaurants email beforehand to gather any restrictions BEFORE the party even arrives so that everything goes smoothly. They should consider one of these two options.View more

Heard a lot of good things about the pizza at this resto. We opted for the dany, the diavolo 2.0, the kale salad & gigli pasta. My favourite dishes were the Dany & the kale Caesar salad. The combination of the sweet honey & the chili oil was fantastic on the pizza. The kale Caesar was well executed & came in a pretty large portion. The service was also great! The pizza here is however comparable to a lot of other restos in Montreal. A bit more pricey but the quality is definitely there.View more

20 minutes d'attentes minimum pour placer notre commande. La salade kale cesar arrive rapidement & est incroyablement delicieuse.Ma copine commande une pizza qui arrive dans un délai raisonnable mais mon plat de pâte lui, 50 minutes plus tard!!! En guise d'excuse on m'apporte un dessert, le seul sur la carte que je n'aurais jamais choisi....comment corriger une erreur par une erreur. C'etait ma 9ieme mais dernière visite. Trop de resto a Mtl pour risquer a nouveau.View more
