Heard lots of good things about this place from many different people. Food was good, but the service wasn't up to standard. Ordered 2 apps, a salad, a pasta & a pizza to be shared between 2 people. The apps came normally but the pasta then came super late, 10 minutes later the salad came, & by the time we were full from eating everything after waiting for so long, the pizza then came. No word from the servers.View more
We were a group if 6 & ordered a variety of pasta, pizza & appetizers. Everything was great! We loved the service. One of us broke the water glass on the table & they responded instantaneously. They also replaced all the food on the table without any extra charge. Loved the service overall.View more
Pizzas were excellent. Apps were good. Pasta was good except for that red wine & butter concoction. Prompt service. Great staff. Ugly looking place. Looks like a big room in a house but the food is what counts.View more
We travel often & the food was some of the best Italian we have had! We have a mix of appetizers, pasta & pizza & it was all delicious. The restaurant is a bit loud but we were there at a peak time so it was very full. Staff was great with wine recommendations as well. Would go again!View more
Elena delivers decent food but falls short of being memorable. Out of three pastas, none stood out, the spaghetti ubriaco didn't quite hit the mark & felt like a less successful version of spaghetti all'assassina, & the genovese was overpowered by spice. The pizzas & entrées were solid but unremarkable. The wine list, based on private imports without cépage details, felt overpriced for the gamble. Desserts were fine but uninspired.
Tara & Elora's excellent service was the highlight of the night & made the visit worthwhile.View more
Numéro 1. Nous avons pris la pizza rosa extra stracciatella & & les Pasta Ragu & je reviendrais pour manger la même chose tellement c'était bon. Le service était amical & l'ambiance était bien. Merci pour la bonne nourritureView more
Pizza tasted good, & so were the pasta dishes but portion could have been more generous for the price.View more
Amazing food, my subratings for this one are a bit harsh as I'm trying to crack down on rating inflation (that's a whole other topic see below). I'll start with the negatives, the portions were a bit small especially the pasta. I have a very large appetite, but other people felt the same way & it was a bit dark inside so I saw people having to use their flashlight to read the menu which is a bit off putting (not necessarily the restaurants fault but it was quite dark even for me). That being said the food was fantastic & delicious. Everything cooked with great quality & to a clear 5 star level.
** Although I have seen some people comment about rating inflation, my sample of restaurants is not a random distribution & so the rating distribution will also not be a standard distribution centered at 3. All restaurants are heavily curated & vetted beforehand so I'm only going to a select few restaurants (Normandin aside) & so it's to be expected that my ratings will be high. Message me personally if you have questions.View more
Great atmosphere- a very lively restaurant with great lighting & music. The service was great & very attentive. The diavolo pizza was a stand out but overall all the dishes we ordered tasted great. One thing to note is that the portions of pasta are quite small & our group of three left feeling a bit hungry after sharing two pastas & a pizza. An excellent restaurant though, all things considered.View more
The food was satisfactory, although not as reasonably priced as expected. Everything was decent, though nothing was particularly exceptional; the pasta dishes shown in online photos were largely unavailable. The Diavola 2.0 (Pepperoni) pizza was enjoyable, & the meatballs were quite delicious. The "carbonara" pasta was classic & flavorful. The flanc for the dessert was smokey & tasty. However, the restaurant is rather expensive, & superior options for pizza & pasta can be found in Montreal. The service was excellent.View more
Great design & music inside. I love how all the tables in the dining room are against the wall & so you get benches & chairs all around. Warm & welcoming space although having come in the winter, I bet the people at the bar & on the first few tables felt a strong draft when the door opened. Service was very attentive & quick. The food was bang on. Polpette & beets starters were incredible. The meatballs were delicate & served in a delicious red sauce. The beets also had a distinct flavor, almost like they had been seared, & the stracciatella was like bufala x10. For mains we had the Diviola pizzas. Crust had some crispy bits & some chew, the sauce was sweet but I liked it & the peperoncino & sausage on the za was off the charts. Definitely would go again & would be really curious about the pasta.View more
We were seated at the bar. Bartender who also took our orders was very attentive, friendly & explained the menu well. The restaurant itself has very dim lighting with minimal decoration. Trendy yet simple. We ordered the supplì, Dante salad, beet with stracciatella, diavolo pizza & the special pasta of the night which was ravioli stuffed with butternut squash in a butter sage sauce. For dessert we got the olive oil cake which was super moist! All tasted great but i wasn't blown away either. Very basic italian dishes. Service was great & did not feel rushed. Not sure i would go back just because the menu didn't make me curious for more.View more
We ordered the special pasta ravioli which had sheep's ricotta & brown butter sage sauce that was cooked perfectly al dente. The kale Caesar was also delicious with a lot of Parmesan & freshly made croutons. The "FunGuy" pizza, olive oil cake, & cannolis were also good but not the best I've had. Overall, this place is good & I would return.View more
Our friend made reservations for us to experience pizza & wine at its finest, & Elena did not disappoint! The dimly lit ambiance set the perfect mood, & the 90s playlist added a fun, nostalgic vibe. We savored every moment, from the drinks, wine, to the risotto, olives, pizza, pasta, & flan-each dish was delightful. The star of the night? The *meatballs*-absolutely phenomenal! Our waiter was incredibly knowledgeable & gave us spot-on recommendations that elevated our dining experience. Elena is a must-visit for anyone in Montreal looking for a memorable meal. We'll definitely be back!View more
Pleasant night out in a vibrant eatery. The service was top notch - multiple staff attentive to our table & needs, prompt without feeling rushed. The food was very tasty. The kale salad & malfada pasta were the highlights. Recommend sharing a variety of dishes among your table rather than everyone on their own menu, as the menu & service is perfected for this communal experience.View more
Great vibe & atmosphere- service was great - recommended dishes & wine for us to enjoy - pizza was good & pasta was tasty although vongole was very light on clams - would recommend pizza over pastaView more
My experience began with the reservation platform giving me an error message for 20 min & then we called. Called no answer but we got a call back. We didnt ask where we would be seated because we didnt know the layout of the place so we ended up being placed at the bar .... by the door ( ....so ask ). The kale ceasar salad was great with a mountain of parmesan cheese & the right amount of dressing . Now for the pizza our choices were diavolo 2.0 & the funghi ; for me the tomato sauce was too watery the meat didnt have as much flavor or kick as i wouldve expected from a diavolo so the whole thing fell through but i really enjoyed the funghi that had the flavor of the mushroom & parmesan collide in harmony, i will add that the crust was perfect in both. The pasta ( all'amatriciana) was average at best ,with so many good italian restaurants in the city unfortunately this one did not bring it home for me, the guanciale was burnt & again the sauce was watery. The dessert : Gateau au Chocolat , is a brownie texture shaped into a cake slice topped with ice cream , good but maybe heated ? The service was good & the staff was knowledgeable & at your service , simple & effective. Overall not a bad experience but will i go back ? Maybe , hopefully to have a better culinary experience that would be up to the hype. Food 3 | Service 5 | Atmosphere 4View more
Honestly a bit overrated. Pasta dish was really good, Kale salad too, but if you're known as a place for good pizza & the unseasoned tomato sauce on your Margherita ($28) overpowers everything & makes the pizza tastes kinda a** then you're doing sth wrong imo. On top of that the waiters messed up our orders 2 times. That can happen but if the prices are how they are at Elena then I'd expect sth else.View more
Beautiful food in a lovely room, the place to head when you get a craving for pastaView more

Great Italian restaurant for both dine in & take out. Everything from the appetizers, pizzas & pastas were delicious. The staff was also very friendly & accommodated different dietary requirements such as pregnancy & vegeterian. The administration was also very kind to help us with group booking with reasonably priced set menu. They also accommodated by my newborn infant of 5 month in stroller. Highly recommend !View more
This place is wonderful, they have such a great set up for kids in the back where you can order counter service & eat at picnic tables. Food is amazing, wine recommendations are great & loved the atmosphere. Pizzas are great but don't skip the pasta & salads too!View more
Nice cozy place, nice service. Pizza was nice as well, I think someone oversold the place to me before going but still was a nice evening overall. Ah btw my wife had the Ragyu pasta & she said it was great. :)View more
Really cute ambiance, as much inside as outside. Big terrasse area! The Ragu pasta was DELICIOUS! The pizza was also tasty & fresh. I would definitely come back.View more
Great food, service & atmosphere. Was able to get a table right away without a reservation on a weekday night. I had a good time, but it is pricy though. Spent $70 for 2.5 meatballs, a bowl of pasta, & a glass of wine. I don't know if I could personally justify going back any time soon.View more
It's a hidden gem in the suburbs of Montreal!! Everything we got was amazing.. kale Cesar salad, pasta & pizza!! I wish I could have eaten more but I was already so full.. haha! Service was also perfect.. we did not feel like it was too fast, but had ample time to enjoy our meals without the waitress rushing us. We sat outside, its cute. Personally because I'm pregnant, I was hot. Next time will sit inside. I HIGHLY recommend this place. We enjoyed it so much we'd like to come back again tomorrow!!View more
Gorgeous food, gorgeous atmosphere, & friendly service! We've been here twice now for special occasions & the food never disappoints. The homemade pastas, in particular, are lovely. The terrasse that backs onto a quiet alley, adding to the special feeling of the experience.View more
It's definitely one of the best pizzas & pasta in town. Very good wine choices & the diverse menu for all taste buds!View more
