The food is amazing! I got the lamb taco. I wish there was 6 tacos instead of 4 , but that's just testament to how good it was. I'd go back. My husband has the pork tacos which we were wondering if he got chicken. I tasted it & it seemed like it was chicken... So that was strange, but it was still good so we didn't complain .View more

Went here for lunch & found it to be a solid Mexican spot. We got the 1/4 kg chicken tacos & the sopes with chorizo. The tacos were solid, chicken was juicy & tasty & the tortillas were soft (in a good way). The sopes were good but I found the chorizo to be a bit salty but my partner enjoyed them. I wouldn't necessarily come back here but I would recommend to someone who has never tried real Mexican food.View more

I've been a big fan of El Rey Del Taco for a while. After all they have some of the best tacos & taco meat selections in town. The competition is town is fierce, but they are still in the mix. However, I'm here to talk about breakfast. Jean-Talon market early in the morning when the stands are prepping is always a pleasurable walk & stopping to have breakfast at Rey is a big part of it for me. Talking with Don Javier who welcomes you with a freshly brood pot of coffee & a selection of authentic Mexican recipes is a heartwarming sensation.
