Pastas are good but the salad was not good. Im not sure if they gave me the wrong sauce but it tasted more like burger sauce than ceasar. Plus there were green olives in the ceasar salad (?). Cherry tomatoes tastes old. It really did not work :( Don't recommend the salads!!
Je me demandais si les envolées extraordinaires sur leur nourriture étaient exagérées, alors j'ai essayé; eh ben c'est pas des blagues, c'est fantastique! Ce sont les meilleures pâtes sauce rosée de ma vie, & j'en ai essayé partout. Par contre, ne faites pas comme moi, commander en livraison pendant une grève de la STM' dans le pire des travaux de rue & à grande distance sous pluie verglaçante, lol; mon dîner est arrivé à temps pour le souper. Le pauvre dasher était tout perdu. Mais franchement, ça valait la peine d'attendre : ) J'en commanderai d'autres, mais en meilleurs moments. Un peu cher en ligne par contre, mais j'avais un gros spécial. À bientôt, formidable resto! CORRECTION : On commande le 2 pour 1; on n'en reçoit qu'un. On avait bien payé les ajouts en double pour les 2, ma compagne l'a fait avec moi; la facture est toute croche & ne correspond pas à grand-chose de notre commande. Pour sa fête, elle a eu le spag, j'ai pris une canne de thon du dépanneur. Bravo, très agréable. Je ne commande plus jamais à cet endroit, DEUX erreurs sérieuses en TROIS commandes, mauvaise moyenne au bâton. Dommage, c'est si bon! Mais pour y goûter, il faut qu'on le reçoive...

Found this place as it was close by, ratings were good & the family was cold & hungry! Very humble & clean place. Looks like they do more take out than dine in. You order at the cash as there's no real table service but the cashier was helpful & brought things over. We ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken, the Rosa penne with shrimp, El Blanco fettuccine & a burger.
Pro: son forgot to add cheese & pickles in his order & they threw it in for free ♥?
Con: pasta sauce was ok. Creamy, but not cheesy & lacked depth of flavour. A hit of lemon could help. Also, adding green onions to the pasta dishes is weird & did not complement the dish. I get the'green' but that's what parsley is for.
Next time when ordering: be sure to ask what's in the salad or burger. Nothing on the menu said the salad would contain tomatoes (in a Caesar?) or olives, & that the burger is made with mayo in it.
I can see why it's a good place for students & it's community needing a a hot decent meal at a good price.
This restaurant has the best pasta. The flavors are rich, fresh, & perfectly balanced. The pasta is cooked to perfection every time, & the sauces taste homemade & authentic.
Terrible ! They used to be great. I don't know what happened, I ordered the carbonara pasta which they don't have anymore in their menu but I personalized it & it's the most watery sauce I've ever gotten, all the flavor & creaminess GONE ! Don't go here if you want to save yourself from the worst food, you're better off cooking it yourself or going to Moretti, they have great pasta.
J'adore le concept de El Pastaman; sans offrir des plats italiens spécialisés, ils se différencient pas la diversité des ingrédients, un peu comme avec Subway. De plus, leur sauce rosée, est excellente.

Leurs pates sont excellente ! Rien a dire
J'en commande souvent par uber eats & je reçois tout le temps une belle portion chaude, avec un très bon morceau de pain chaud. J'ai essayé les pates sauce rosée & alfredo ! Magnifique
J'ai pris le plat El Rosa & mon mari a décidé de faire le menu de son choix. Il a pris pâte spaghetti avec sauce huile d'olive avec jaune d'oeuf avec parmesan & poulet. Tout est succulent!! Merci au serveur! On est allé vendredi 29 août 2025 vers 21h15!
I was looking for a restaurant that was opened late that was not junk food. I happened to come across this restaurant with stellar reviews & being a lover of pasta, I had to try it out. I ordered the El Rosa with chicken & it was absolutely delicious! The sauce was so incredibly flavourful & the portions are huge! The waitress was also very friendly & courteous. I will definitely come back to this restaurant when I'm in Montreal!
Très bon restaurant lorsque vous avec une rage de pâtes comme il me prend souvent! Par contre si tout comme moi vous ne trippez pas sur l'ail, vous devez savoir que leurs sauces en contiennent beaucoup. Particulièrement la sauce Alfredo, que j'ai aussi trouvée très liquide. Mais je recommande néanmoins car les assiettes sont bouillantes! Un gros plus en ce qui me concerne!

From the moment we decided to give this spot a try, everything about the experience exceeded our expectations. Whether you're a fan of authentic Italian cuisine or simply looking for a cozy, satisfying meal, El Pastaman is guaranteed to impress. We ordered two classic dishes-Alfredo pasta & Carbonara-& both were absolutely divine. The Alfredo pasta was creamy, rich, & perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of sauce coating the fresh, perfectly cooked pasta. The flavors were indulgent yet comforting, a hallmark of great Italian cooking. On the other hand, the Carbonara was equally amazing, with a deliciously creamy texture & a rich, smoky flavor from the pancetta that elevated the dish to another level. Every bite was a reminder of why classic Italian dishes never go out of style. The portions were more than generous, which made the experience even better. For the price, the quantity & quality were exceptional, making it one of the best value-for-money meals I've had in a long time. Despite being a takeout order, the food was well-packaged & retained its freshness & flavor by the time we got home. One of the standout moments of the experience was the incredible customer service. The staff were welcoming & went out of their way to make us feel special. The person who handled our order was genuinely kind & thoughtful, even surprising us with a complimentary tiramisu. It's rare to find such gestures these days, & it truly made the experience memorable. Speaking of the tiramisu, it was absolutely perfect. You could tell it was made fresh & with authentic ingredients. The layers of mascarpone, coffee-soaked ladyfingers, & cocoa were beautifully balanced, & the dessert wasn't overly sweet-just the way it should be. It had a unique flavor profile that felt traditional yet special, showcasing the skill & care that El Pastaman puts into its food. To top it off, the meal came with freshly baked bread that paired wonderfully with the pasta & added an extra layer of satisfaction to the meal. We enjoyed every single aspect of our takeout order, from the savory pasta to the sweet tiramisu. El Pastaman is more than just a restaurant-it's an experience that embodies the heart & soul of Italian cuisine. The combination of incredible food, generous portions, & outstanding customer service makes this a place you'll want to return to again & again. I already know I'll be back the next time I'm in Montreal, & I'll be recommending it to everyone I know. J'ai eu le plaisir de dîner dans ce restaurant hier, & je suis ravi de mon expérience. Le service était impeccable, & le personnel était accueillant & attentif surtout la caissière Aminea je pense son prénom .Les plats étaient savoureux, particulièrement spaghetti au sauce blanche avec extra champignons & crevettes qui était un vrai régal. L'ambiance était agréable, parfaite pour passer une belle soirée. Je recommande vivement ce restaurant & j'ai hâte d'y retourner comme tous les jours
El Pastaman lives up to its name. During our three-day stay in Montréal, we ate here the last two nights. My girlfriend suffers from coeliac disease, which is why we are always on the lookout for gluten-free options. El Pastaman offers gluten-free pasta. The pasta sauces are also gluten-free. I ate the "El Transparente" pasta with normal spaghetti. I have never eaten a better carbonara in my life. The sauce was perfectly balanced. The spaghetti was topped with crispy bacon, juicy pancetta, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh spring onions & sprinkled with parmesan. It was real soul food. The taste is 1A. My girlfriend also liked it. On the second evening, I tried the spaghetti bolognese (El Rosso). This was also delicious, but couldn't even begin to compete with the delicious carbonara. Our recommendation is therefore: try the carbonara. The restaurant itself offers plenty of seating. You can come by without a reservation, which we really liked. However, the ambience was not the nicest (fans were running, electronic music was playing in the seating area & pop music in the kitchen - very confusing). But we would still eat here again at any time.

Genuinely impressed by this place! I entered thinking it's another pasta place. Ordered my rose chicken pasta w/extra sauce. My traumas from other pasta places told me that this is going to be mediocre or above average at best & lord behold it's one of the best pasta I've tasted! The portions are huge! The taste slaps! & the chicken is so juicy! Just give this place a try & thank me later! I'm definitely coming back to this place every time I'm in Montreal!
J'ai commandé sur uber & honnêtement impressionné ♡ de belles portions (se qui se fait rare) la sauce rosée es délicieuse jai commandé les 2 pour 1 & il ne manquait rien & c'est rare sur uber tout était parfait & délicieux. Si javais un petit bémol à dire se sont les petits pains à l'ail je trouve que les epices sur le dessus c'est trop sec sous la dent & il devrait etre plus beurré pour avoir une expérience plus gourmandes. Mais honnêtement c'était délicieux. Je vais définitivement recommander :) merci pour les spéciaux sur uber c'est se qui m'a donné envie de découvrir le restaurant !
Tasty pasta with a choice of gluten free noodles. I am not sure about how great the risk of cross contamination was as I felt rushed & it was late. I had the rose sauce & it was creamy & seasoned well. Veggies were a bit sparse. Pizza options looked yummy, although we didn't try. The doorway into the place was a bit confusing, although staff were quick to point out where the entrance was when we entered the wrong door. Service was okay, although not friendly & welcoming. The place was clean & tidy.
