Très mauvaise expérience dans ce brunch. Nous avions une réservation pour 12h & nous avons finalement été installés seulement vers 12h35, sans réelle explication. Ensuite, le service était extrêmement lent du début à la fin, juste pour pouvoir commander il fallait attendre très longtemps.
Quand mon plat est arrivé, il était vraiment décevant comparé à ce qui était présenté sur le menu. Quand mon plat est arrivé, j'ai honnêtement cru qu'il manquait quelque chose dans l'assiette. Comparé aux plats des autres personnes à ma table, le mien avait l'air vide, basique & très peu soigné pour le prix demandé.
En plus, nous avions commandé des pancakes pour qu'ils arrivent en même temps que les autres plats… sauf qu'ils n'ont tout simplement jamais été envoyés en cuisine.
Entre l'attente, les erreurs & le manque de service, l'expérience était vraiment mauvaise du début à la fin. Très déçus
Upon arriving at Eggstatic, our experience immediately started off on the wrong foot. We were joining friends at a table reserved for 5, but it was clear the setup hadn't fully accounted for the fifth person. Despite being part of the reservation, the fifth seat lacked basic necessities like a menu, water glass, & utensils, which immediately made us feel like an afterthought.
The underwhelming service continued when it came time to order. We waited an unreasonably long ten minutes before our waiter finally noticed us & took our orders. Even after ordering, we had to specifically request water & utensils for the missing place setting. The timing of our meal service was also a major issue. Two of our orders arrived first, followed by drinks 6 minutes later, & then a further 10 minutes wait before the rest of our party received their meals.
By the time everyone else's plates arrived, my ice cream had completely melted, & my pancakes were cold. The milkshakes we ordered were also a disappointment, being excessively liquid as if they were melted & diluted with milk. Our waiter only checked in on us right after delivering our meals & again when we asked for the bill. It felt disingenuous when, upon asking us to leave a review, the waiter hovered over us until we all submitted our ratings, & only then offered his name as if expecting praise for service he hadn't genuinely provided. Overall, the initial impression & following service were notably disappointing & significantly reduced from our dining experience, especially given the appealing appearance of the food & the positive Google reviews that had raised our expectations, making the entire experience feel quite deceiving.

We visited on a Sunday without reservation & we were seated quickly which is greatly appreciated as the restaurant was full!
The service was amazing by Noor who came & checked on us & made sure that we had a great experience.
Then food was delicious & the menu diverse, there is basically a little bit of everything that you could want from different hummus to pancakes & waffles, omelettes, egg benedictines, croissant & dessert. Also a wide variety of drinks.
We will be coming back for sure to try everything else on the menu :)
Came in craving the pistachio fluffy pancake we once had in Mississauga location & WOW, their Montreal location delivered even better!!! Honestly, this place blew our expectations!! Nadim our server took one look at our pancake photo we had in Mississauga 2 years ago & said they'd top it… & they absolutely did!!! Incredible food, even better service. Huge thanks to Nadim, the Chef, & the whole team for such a warm, welcoming experience. No more Toronto trips this Montreal spot wins! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!!
Everything was great & amazing! WELL... Except for 2 things, their food might be amazing & all, but service was not great. I ordered a Belgian Waffle for my sister & a tripe leche pancake for myself. The orders took way too long, & when my sister's order actually came, it was just a plain waffle with maple syrup. My pancake took so much longer, & I was running out of patience, if your someone that can't wait, would not recommend.
Still I gave 5 stars because overall this place was amazing, decor, & definitely taste!

Came for lunch with some friends while visiting the city! We were seated immediately & served food quickly. Coffee refills given without asking. We are anglophone & the server was very kind & spoke english (Thanks Alfred!) :) Vibes are great here!
I had the pancakes tres leches, the pistachio topping made for excellent flavour! My sweet tooth was quenched!
Horrible experience - overpriced & poor quality.
It's very loud & I do not recommend they don't know how to cook eggs. Worst brunch in Montreal & super expensive. We have Waited one hour to be served & it was very poor.
Also very poor hygiene I have seen the waiter picking the ice cream that felt from a pancake & putting it back on it - disgusting
We arrived at 12:30 & were seated promptly, I don't usually leave negative reviews & often assume it's just an off day, but after reading other reviews, it seems this is an ongoing issue.
To start, we sat for about 15 minutes without water or menus, & my husband had to go ask for them twice for menus After finally receiving them, we reviewed the menu & placed our order as soon as our server returned, concerned it might take a while for them to come back again. We ordered coffee, milk for our son, & an iced matcha latte. The coffee & milk arrived after about 10 minutes , but the matcha latte never came - no milk or cream for coffee so my husband drank it black. & we didn't mention it, not wanting to add to their workload.
The biggest issue was the wait for food. We waited approximately 1 hour & 30 minutes. Our son's pancakes arrived at 1:47, about 10-15 minutes before the rest of the meals. When our food finally came, it was barely warm. After such a long wait, we expected hot, fresh dishes.
We also noticed that other tables who arrived well after us were receiving their food before us. However, even then, their entire table wasn't served at the same time.. only 2 out of 6 people received their meals while the others continued waiting. This showed that the issue wasn't just delays, but overall disorganization in how food was being prepared & served.
I ordered the fried chicken Benedict with spicy hot sauce on the side, which was missing & had to be requested afterward. Based on the temperature & overall quality, I would rate it around 6/10-the hash browns were barely warm. My other son ordered the Tomato Jacket, which didn't resemble what was described on the menu & was very disappointing 2/10 It didn't look appetizing at all. I felt really bad for him. My husband had the steak & eggs, which he said was just okay, around a 6.5/10.
When our food arrived, we didn't even have utensils.
Overall, the service felt very disorganized. We had a different server each time someone came to our table, & no one seemed to be assigned specific sections. There was very little communication or follow-up throughout our visit, which made the experience more frustrating.
It seems like a management issue rather than just a busy day. Some suggestions that could improve the experience:
• Assign servers to specific sections for better accountability
• Have basic items like water, menus, & utensils ready for quick service
• Consider adding QR codes at tables as a backup for menus
• Ensure better coordination in the kitchen so food is served together & hot
• Hire & train staff who are engaged & attentive to customers
I really wanted to like this place, especially as a halal brunch option, & I genuinely hope they succeed. Based on other reviews, this appears to be an ongoing problem. I'm not looking for a response-just for these issues to be addressed & improved.
