I wrote a long detailed review then decided it should be short & curt to make sure people read it. Total rip off...AGAIN! the smoke meat in the Reuben was not steamed enough making it rubbery & chewy. I had to ask for the dressing. The waitress offered wonderful customer service where I declined her graciously offer to bring another as it would have taken too long & it would have been the same. My mistake because when I got home I had a Swiss cheese sandwich (note how the cheese is not melted, no saukraut, & NO SMOKE MEAT)! The pictures tell the story. The French fries were also a great disappointment. Usually a great part of the meal that turned out to be fries that were lukewarm & reminded us of 3pm end of a buffet fries. Do better...so sad. PLEASE NOTE: I asked for the meat to be on the fat side...
Wife & I both had the smoked meat combo, & was really good. The meat wasn't salty, & was the right temperature. The smoked meat egg rolls are addictive!
The server was pleasant & served us well.

Served up a medium fat Super Jumbo Smoked Meat Sandwich, with Fries, coleslaw & a dill. Washed down with a pint of Heineken.
Served by the smiling & friendly Kassandra.
My wife had The Honey Mustard Chicken Salad with a Sangria
Had to be cut by a master cutter as it was juicy & tender, almost shaved slices.
For dessert a lovely slice of their Carrot Cake.

My favourite from their menu is the 1927 burger.
I feel like they've improved on their fries & their burgers are amazing. If you're craving a good burger, you won't be disappointed.
Prices are on par & service is fine. It can get noisy when you go during peak hours though
Ordered the smoke meat (lean) platter, but was disappointed: slices were too thick & lacked that classic saltiness you'd expect from Montreal smoke meat. Fries were decent, though. & the music playing (classic 80s mix) was a whole nostalgic vibe!
Went there tonight for the first (& DEFINITELY the last time). Besides the fact that we waited about half an hour to be seated - I understand that, busy Saturday evening - the food was absolutely not worth the money. The poutine had a total of 3-4 tiny pieces of cheese, barely any sauce in it & the fries were dry as hell. I'm 99% sure they use frozen potatoes. The smoked meat sandwich was ok but I wouldn't pay that much for that, ever again. The guy who took our order was rather rude but hey, at least his acrylic nails & brows were on point 🫢 long story short, avoid this place at all costs & just go to Mc Donald's instead, their fries are better.
Amazing service & yummy veggie wraps! Joined my carnivore bf to his favorite greasy spoon with the intention of just having coleslaw salad & fries & was pleasantly surprised their delish veggie wraps. Service was beyond good, our waitress was lovely & the service was fast!

Great deli style restaurant. Known for their smoked meat dishes but they have many other types of food available. Staff are quick & friendly. Parking can be a challenge as the parking lot is shared with 3 other restaurants. Great for late night food & take out available. Good for groups as well. You can watch sports on their tv as well
We came for dinner with my parents & 2 children. The children's menu portions were way too small, especially for hungry 7 & 10 year old boys. The hotdogs were too small, & my older son had to order a 2nd one. My younger one had spaghetti but was still hungry after, & ended up ordering 2 hotdogs!
The server, Kathleen, was friendly, but the service was very slow. We were there for 2 hours!
The food generally was good & tasty, especially the smoked meat fried rice ordered by my mother.
High prices but good value for the smoked meat. Coleslaw has too much horseradish. Great pickles. The cake is good but not $12 good. Wish I could have swapped the coleslaw for fries. Wish mini salads were on the menu- they were listed as an add-on for a combo for $5.
What can I say? We have loved Dunn's smoked meat for well over 25 years. Old fashioned smoked meat at its finest! Service was prompt & friendly. Will be returning for sure!
I ordered a burger & upgraded my fries to a poutine, & the portion size was fantastic-definitely filling. The poutine was delicious, with rich gravy, & just the right amount of cheese curds. For dessert, I tried the carrot cake on the recommendation of friends, & it did not disappoint! It was moist, flavorful, & had just the right amount of sweetness. The service was attentive & friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. The only minor issue was that the burger patty was a bit bland, but it was still cooked well.
We were at Dunn's on Décarie boulevard, during this week around 2pm. The smoked meat lean was very good. The portion of the "Petit Combo" is getting smaller & smaller but it tastes very good as usual. The fries portion was huge but the fries were cold, not even warm. The service was adequate & waitress was pleasant. The cheesecake was OK but not the cheesecake Dunn's was famous for! they must have changed the recipe or used a very salty creme cheese, because the cheese cake was slightly salty, something we never tasted before & we did not like. We will return, but next time we go, we'll just order the smoked meat which is always good, but no more cheesecake.

Great smoke meat. Food is very authentic, as I remembered back in the years. Fried pickles were a good surprise. Service is a little bit slow, but waiters are very friendly. The atmosphere is very cozy, but depending on the hours the guests can be a little loud
I used to love eating here but over the last few months the quantity & quality of the food has noticeably declined. The Reuben sandwich used to practically topple from the quantity of smoked meat in it but the one I had about three weeks ago sat forlornly flat on the plate which looked full only because the fries were spread all around. Tonight, the club sandwich's chicken, which used to be in big chunks was shreded so small, that it scattered out of the sandwich when held in my hand. The last slice of bread (burnt around the edges) was soggy from the too ripe tomatoes,in all honesty, there was bacon in the sandwich but not even half of what used to be & the actual size of the sandwich was noticeably smaller than usual. I used to be barely able to finish a club sandwich. Not tonight. Plate was clean. Service was friendly, as usual but when tried to bring these convcerns up with the waitress, I was courtly directed to the internet reviews. I guess she has signed off on the complaint department. I hope all this can be improved. I've been a loyal customer for a long time, it would be a pitty to have to forgo what I'm sure us still a great place to eat late at night.
Their portions are good & the staff is friendly, however if you get food to go or for takeout, you have to specify what condiments you want on the burger as they don't apply them in the kitchen, they give them as packets. The burgers on the menu were described as dressed with said condiments, & now here I am on the road with a bacon cheeseburger without sauce.. I will still eat there again, but still..
