Myer Dunn founded Dunn's Famous Restaurant in 1927. Due to my grandfather's unique recipes and high quality standards, Dunn's Famous quickly became a local institution for Montrealers and visitors alike.

I didn't know that this restaurant is open until 4 in the morning.. an excellent option on the Rive Sud for late nights. The food is good in its style, menu with all possible Smoke meat presentations. The waitress was very friendly, a little slow at first but there are few staff at night, you can understand that she was busy, you just have to be patient & enjoy the food.View more

Dunn's is one of the few remaining places that still opens until very late in the night which is really nice for people like me that eat dinner very late. The service was friendly & quite pleasant. The food was served quite quickly too & all the waiters were quite polite. The noise level was pretty low & the tables are pretty spacious which makes the dining experience more enjoyable. I was however seated on a table with a broken booth. The leather was ripped open & the seat was quite uncomfortable the whole meal. For the food, the flavours are pretty on point & the quality of the ingredients are pretty good. I really enjoy their smoked meat which has a good balance of fat & meat. The carbonara that I had on the other hand wasn't too amazing in my opinion. I feel like there was just too much cream & it was overwhelming the flavours of everything else. It made the whole meal taste like nothing but cream & it wasn't that enjoyable. The poutines & the pizzas were pretty good though. The portions are also pretty decent considering that each meal is charged around 20-25$.View more
