This was our first stop after a 7hr car ride. We stopped by around 2pm on a Friday & we were seated immediately. Service was good, knowledgeable, quick, efficient. The food was good, but nothing special. Considering their smoked meat was highly suggested, I was expecting it to be out of this world. I had the smoked meat poutine as I tried to kill two birds with one stone, & maybe that was the wrong dish to order. It was just okay. Large portion, but not bursting with flavor. It was also served lukewarm.
I'd come back if I'm ever in the area again, but will definitely try something else.View more

I really like a smoke, but when I am in Montréal, I go to Dunn's Famous for my smoke meat fix. Great atmosphere & service. I had the super combo, smoke meat sandwich, fries, & coleslaw. Everything was excellent on my plate. I recommend Dunn's Famous.View more

I wish I could give Dunn's 4.5 stars. Everything was great.
We ordered the Reuben platter & Smoked Meat platter. Top notch flavor, fries were awesome, latkas were a nice touch as optional side.
The smoked meat was very good, moist & melting in the mouth. We rank the Reuben as better than the MSM sandwich but both excellent. Our only minor complaint would be to lightly toast the bread for the smoked meat sandwich. It was soggy & fell apart far too easily with the juiciness of the smoked meat. The rye on the Reuben fared much better.
Atmosphere is classic Montreal deli style. We loved the energy & vibe of the room. Dunn's on the lampposts is a nice touch. Classic rock playing at the right volume. Service was swift & cordial.
Just a very warm experience all around. Will visit again for sure. 4.5/5.View more

We had a great casual lunch at Dunn's. Thoroughly enjoyed our smoked meat Reuben, but ESPECIALLY the coleslaw, which was vinegar based & honestly to die for. The fries were also very tasty & held very minimal oil, which is rare for hand cut. The portion was pretty big & definitely shareable. Our server was attentive & kind. Always a go to place. It's been around since 1927. I have been going there for years every time I'm in Montreal. Great place anytime to eat especially after the hockey game. Fast friendly service. Good food. Staff is very accommodating.View more

We were recommended to stop at Dunn's by the hotel staff, & we're so glad we did! Dunn's offers a wide selection of food items, & we decided to try the poutine & egg rolls. When the food arrived, I initially thought it might be too salty, but I was pleasantly surprised! The dishes were incredibly flavorful, fresh, & perfectly balanced. This or Schwartz's? Followed the recommendation of a native of Montreal & tried Dunns. The smoked meat is delicious, just the right amount of tender, fat, & seasoning. The bread can't handle the meat but who cares! Lots of mustard, coleslaw & a dill pickle makes this an unforgettable lunch. & of course the poutine was Devine! Strongly recommend. No nonsense service & a staple of Montreal's food culture.View more

Easily the best smoked meat I've ever had. Not overly salty but still adequately seasoned & succulent. Don't underestimate the size of the sandwiches as the smoked meat comes in a generous stack! The poutine was okay, but the root beer (racinette) was too sweet for my liking. Excellent service & food arrived very quickly.View more
