Love Duke & Devine's, I go there most Fridays for lunch. Love their Tuna Tacos. Sounds crazy for an Irish pub, but they are stellar. There's also a good deal, for $3 more, you can get salad & fries, not just the salad or fries, see picture. The salad comes in a small bowl, but its not small. Their fries are true Quebec fries.like lafleurs. They also have a really good lobster roll, when in season, & a nice patio area.
Had the Brisket sandwich!! Melt's in your mouth with ample gravy & fries..
Not the first time we have been here, but this is the first time we were disappointed. Things started off on the wrong foot when we were told that two of the three specials were not available. Not a good sign. We did, however, have our hearts set on the brisket sandwich. Guess what? That was an unavailable choice as well. At that point I was about ready to leave but since we already had drinks we settled for the fish & chips. Now I know people rave about them but Sunday evening they were less than hot & the accompanying fries while slightly warmer were mushy as if they had been sitting for some time.
On a brighter note the service was pleasant & quick & the Habs game was on. I think next time we want a meal out we will find somewhere else to go.
Nachos are to die for!!!
Inside dining area is a little cramped in the winter, more space upstairs.
Terrace is nice, & definitely the nicer place to be vs inside during the summer, but not as nice as other terraces near the water like in Ste Anne's.
Still recommend for catching up with friends & watching the game, 5à7 on the terrace in the summer, dinner with family
I liked the burger; you could taste the barbecue grill. The french fries were crisp & well-seasoned. I was expecting a bit more Irish-style beer on their menu & a better variety.
I still recommend!
Always a friendly place to go to. The food is good & the atmosphere is cozy.
Duke & Devine's is a neighbourhood gem - a true pub in both style & menu. There's a great selection of beer on tap featuring local favourites, Canadian brews, as well as German & American options. I've been going there for several years & the food is consistently good. The staff is young, friendly & the service is always quick & attentive. The fish taco's are my usual go to, but the burgers & sandwiches are also very good.
This is casual dinning exactly as you would expect it to be. It's a fun place to go for a beer & pub food. It's the kind of place that keeps you coming back.
