Nice place, courteous staff, food was delicious. Will recommend to others.
With the heat wave, some fans would have been appreciated
With the flowers (very pretty) there were many wasps.....service should have taken away plate as soon as meal was completed. We had to get up & leave....as there was 3-4 & then 5-6....
Just comfort issues.
Food was great, good service
We have been going to Duc de Lorraine since the 60s & it was a real gem! Service was impeccable, pastries & sandwiches were exquisite so much that it became a tradition to us. Yesterday we went around 5:30pm just for a pastry & coffee. We didn't want to spoil dinner so we also ordered a bagel & cream cheese (yes, it WAS on the menu). We were told this was for breakfast only. We had to wait about 15 minutes to have the menus. After our order, we waited about half an hour for the pastry. No shortage of staff so there was no reason to be "ignored" & stalled. In looking at the menu, though, the prices seemed to have quadrupled over the last few years. They try to transform it into a scandalizing expensive place (hamburger about $18, chicken caesar about $26, etc.). Years ago it was much, much better, & the place was always full. These days, people might come for a coffee & a pastry (most are at $8). Wining & dining might cost about $100 or more per person. What a shame!
We had a brunch at Duc De Lorraine, was the best brunch we have ever had in Montreal!
Great place, highly recommended.
Good food. Overpriced. Nice terrasse. Unable to do modifications to the menu. Ordered A salad & asked to have dressing on the side. They refused.
29$ pour un croque monsieur qui ne goute rien n est ce pas un peu cher.
Amazing service & the food was delicious! Also, the portions are GIGANTIC!! A great restaurant!
Super service! Mon repas etait succulent( benedictine a l'homard) vraiment délicieux. J'adore la terasse dehors, je suis revenu plusieurs fois à ce restaurant pour le brunch & je ne suis jamais décue. Chapeau!
