Du Boucher À La Table, “From Butcher to Table“, is both a butcher shop and Bring Your Own Wine restaurant that will satisfy all your most indulgent meat cravings!
Our principle is simple: à la carte seasonal dishes that change daily according to the freshest cuts available at our butcher shop. Choose from the finest selection of milk-fed veal, organic pork, AAA grade beef or Quebec lamb, and enjoy! My colleagues suggested me to try this place & I can't thank them enough. From the outside, you would think it's a casual restaurant attached to a butcher shop as an add on but once you get in, the atmosphere changes to a nice family style ambiance. We were a group of 8 & we went on a monday, & it was packed just to give you an idea! The staff were welcoming & friendly, they have an extensive seasonal menu & they took time to explain to us how it works for us first timers. We started with the calamari, & they were cooked to perfection!! Not too much batter & great seasoning. I ordered the ribeye steak & it was cooked perfect medium rare. The portion was great for the price. I finish with the tartufo & it was amazing. A gelato dessert with caramel inside, yes!! I have been a customer of Boucher à la table for a few years now, but my last two experiences were disappointing, with the latest one being the worst! It seems like there might have been a change in the kitchen staff as the food's quality has notably declined. The calamari lacked taste & had an undesirable texture. Additionally, the two medium tomahawks I ordered (the most expensive items on the menu) arrived well done. This was especially embarrassing as I had invited friends & spoken highly of the place beforehand. When I pointed out the issue to the waiter, he couldn't provide any helpful comments or suggest a replacement. Unfortunately, I won't be returning & will be searching for a new favorite steak place!View more
