Cheap, quick, & delicious!!!!
I recommand order the spicy, its mild burn makes it taste so good!
The service is super quick even with the line.View more
Why the hype? People by the droves picking up a quick box of gnocchi with tomato sauce… cheap ($5) but quite disappointing, mainly because of the sauce. The gnocchi itself is good, not too large & plentiful, but it's destroyed by the sauce which is most definitely from a can; an industrial-sized one. Had I known, I would have asked them to hold the sauce & just do Parmesan & chili flakes. Oh well. The price is right.View more
Stopped in yesterday & despite a long line, it moved rather quickly.
Menu is definitely very limited (gnocchi with cheese with option to add spicy or gnocchi with extra cheese & spicy).
The gnocchi was pillowy & filled to the brim of the takeout container for $6. Sauce tasted good but would've paid more for them to use real parm cheese than the typical store bought parm.
Chopsticks come with the gnocchi but charged extra for forks which is a bit annoying as chopsticks were not ideal for it.
For a quick, cheap snack we would definitely go back.View more
I drive an hour there then an hour back not because it's cheap but because it's authentic & located in beautiful Montreal neighbourhood.View more
Great gnocchi, super cheap. There's long wait times, but that's because it's so inexpensive & good. Defiantly worth checking out at least onceView more
Cool little street food-type stall offering a nice cheap meal! The gnocchi are basically little tiny balls of dough after steeping in the sauce for a while but they're still good! The sauce was nicely spiced & tasted great. Can't complain for the price.View more
Knew about this place from its hype online but actually just stumbled past it unintentionally as it's located near lots of other popular eats! Simply cheap & tasty. It is a bit plain & the sauce kind of reminds me of Chef Boyardee, but it was delicious nonetheless. After all it's only 6$ (cheese is 1$ extra).View more
Cheap, tasty, fillings hmm what else I can say? This place is located next to Fairmount bagel, so after I got my bagels I went & got $5 gnocchi with cheese. It came on chinese take out boxes with wooden chopsticks. There's an extra $ if you'd like the fork. Taxes included on the price.View more
Love the ambience. It's fun to buy those cute take out boxes of gnocchi, but I have to be honest about the taste. The sauce is very mid, a shockingly tangy bright orange. Reminded me of Chef Boyardee with some added basil. The gnocchi are as small as baked beans, also a bit strange. The parmesan on top is ok. I was only able to eat half before I got full. The serving size looks deceivingly small, but this stuff really fills you up! Overall a fun thing to try once....maybe twice. It was $5. SO CHEAP! (I brought my own fork, lol, but they sell wooden ones. Those are not free)View more
Great cheap eats option, although the gnocchis were overcooked, the sauce was overly salty, it was still hot, good & filling for 5$, wouldn't go out of my way to try it again but for 5$ you really can't complain.View more
Great cheap eatery in the Mile End region of Montreal. Authentic tasting Italian food for only 5-6$, yes please. In a city ravaged by inflation, Drogheria fine shines as the holy grail of cheap food. My only complait is that they charge 30 cents for forks.View more
Service was good, the story about the place was the reason we went there. Food was ok, not the best sauce, not the best gnocchi. It's a good option if you want cheap convenient to-go foodView more
The best gnocchi in Montreal. Cheap, but great for the value. The gnocchi & the sause are home made & they are delicious!!!! Not spice, it won't burn in your stomach...is a perfect meal for the day if you like Italian food.View more
Delicious cheap gnocchi. Ate at the benches nearby. They recently stopped accepting credit cards, so have cash or Canadian debit.View more
Best value for money! Great portion! Really love the sauce :) & it's super cheap given the amount of food. No seats but nice to have it at the benches & just do ppl watching.View more
Super cheap, super tasty, what's not to like! Has a line sometimes but it moves quickly.View more
I had the gnocchi & tomato sauce, the sauce tasted like a cheap canned sauce, very unimpressedView more
Really cheap delicious gnocchi with cheese & chilli flakes, great value & really tasty!View more
Been here a couple times & it's so delicious. I feel it is the perfect amount of food, not making you too full or leaving you hungry. I went around 3pm on a Sunday & it was BUSY, we waited in line for about 20 minutes. It was totally worth it though, the gnocchi was hot, delicious, & the staff were lovely. If you want a cheap meal or you're up to try something new, the gnocchi is delicious!View more
The only good thing about it was the cheap price - $5. We had the spicy one, & it was honestly pretty bad, putting just chilly flakes, is not enough to make a tasty spicy sauce.View more
I wanted to love it so much!!!...but the sauce smelled better then it tasted...I mean it's ok but definitely overrated. Food is cheap & it's at a good price but the sauce is too liquid for me. I prefer my sauce thicker. & also, the cheese is super disappointing...I was expecting fresh mozzarella or fresh cheese on top but it was very ordinary parmesan. & not the best kind either... Glad I've tried it but not going back...View more
Cheap fast & super delicious. What more can you ask for. Usually a line so be patient. You can skip to the front of the line if you are buying a jar of sauce & not getting any gnocchi. Can ask for extra cheese or spicy.View more
Just potato dough balls in a very basic tomato sauce... stumbled onto this place thinking the line of people was for bagels... gave it a try & no big deal other than it is cheap... ate a few bites... then went to Wilenky for a real meal & dessert at theItalian place... plus I can eat out of the rain...View more
Wonderful taste, service, & the price is super cheap for the quality. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Mile-End to stop by there & try it.View more
Iconic spot for cheap eats. You're near guaranteed to end the day with a heartburn session post-gnocchi, but for $5 it's impossible to beat. Be aware of long lines at peak hours, otherwise the service is great.View more
Absolute institution. Service was extremely rapid & the food is delicious, not to mention how cheap the portions are! Gotta pay extra for a fork though! Comes with chopsticks:)View more
