First time visiting this spot - it's a bit tucked away in the corner, & we almost missed it since the Dreamy name doesn't show up clearly on maps & there isn't much signage until you enter the parking lot.
That said, the coffee was excellent! We'll definitely be coming back.
One small piece of feedback: the drink sizes seem to run a bit small. We ordered a medium, but it felt closer to a small. For the price, we were hoping for a slightly larger cup.
Great place to buy specialty coffee beans. There's beans from a dozen local roasters.
Not exactly a quiet, relaxing place as there is roasting going on in the back, but it's very cool place to visit.
We stopped in for a coffee- interior is small but really nice & offers a decent amount of seating room.
Matcha latte & the toasted marshmallow iced latte were both delicious & the latter wasn't too sweet.
Staff are friendly & service was speedy.
Literally a dream place for all the coffee lovers! A lot of different brands of beans!
Amazing café. The coffee has a pleasing taste- a mix of traditional espresso + a subtle unique flavor that's not overly funky. Courteous staff too, & cozy/fun setting. 100% Recommended!
Over the years the place has gotten more crowded with all the surrounding businesses creeping up as of'Canal 2.0' takes over, Dreamy is a victim of it's own success.
Pro's:
- Pet's are welcome(wouldn't say legally admitted because you know, QC)
- Insane coffee selection
- You get to look at cool machines roasting coffee
- Good fenestration
Con's
- Spotty Wifi
- Can get noisy(to be expected with all the production going)
- Can get cold in the winter with the garage door is open for shipments
- Cups used to be consistently glass amber or DREAMY labeled mugs, now it's a bit of a wild mess(esp the pink ones that are made of some kind of composite material?)
I invite my friends who haven't been, but I wouldn't call this my regular go-to.
I pick up my beans here every week & it's always been great - but today was very disappointing. The guy who served me was very rude. I bought two bags of beans & an Americano to go, & he didn't say a single word to me. He just handed me the card machine, then gave me my coffee without speaking, while chatting with his coworker about her vacation - nothing related to work. Very unprofessional. I won't be going back.
Best coffee in the city ❣?everyone is above & beyond nice in there 🥰
Cute coffee shop/ coffee roaster. They have a huge variety but the coffee is very pricey. I asked a few questions & the person at the cash was rude & told me all the prices varied & didn't offer to help me find anything. I think some price tags on the bags could be helpful, as only the bags of 1 brand around 40$ + have prices listed.
I ended up picking a 30$ 350g bag, a bit pricey but is very good coffee; worth the price but not necessarily my daily coffee budget. If you need a specialty coffee this is the spot.
They have a nice seating area, great location next to the canal to take coffee roaster go for a walk.
This used to be one of my favourite coffee spots because the coffee is always great, but the service has really dropped off. The cashier won't greet you unless you greet her first. She seemed a bit impatient when I asked about the desserts. She asked the customers ahead of me if they wanted their biscuits heated, but I had to ask for mine. Not rude-just very cold.
