Review Summary

Dragon Bol is generally recognized for serving fresh and delicious sushi and poke bowls, often highlighted by attentive service and a welcoming atmosphere. Many patrons praise the creative menu options and high-quality ingredients, specifically noting the staff's professionalism regarding dietary restrictions. While the majority of feedback is positive and emphasizes the pleasant dining experience, some customers have expressed concerns regarding inconsistent food quality, occasional long wait times during peak hours, and price points that some find to be on the higher side. Despite mixed opinions on value and some reports of logistical challenges, the restaurant remains a popular choice for those seeking fresh Japanese cuisine in the area.

My spouse & I were staying at the hotel next door & we were looking for something quick & light to eat before our night out. Let's just say I was not expecting the quality of customer service! My spouse is allergic to gluten, however I'm not. There was one item I ordered for him that I noted'no tempura, gluten allergy.' Literally a minute after I placed my order online, they called to confirm if I was aware of the other item had gluten. These were the tempura roll & chicken karaage roll, which was for me (not allergic). The simple phone call to confirm was the sweetest gesture but also very professional! When I arrived, the lovely lady at the counter showed me my box, reviewed each item & they even had GLUTEN-FREE SOY SAUCE!! Such a rarity to come across, that's when I knew this place deserves a shout out! Thank you for the top-notch service!!

Grumpy owner. Food was massively overpriced & didn't delivery on quality - the dumpling wrappers were undercooked & the filling far from juicy. The spring rolls had a nice, crispy outer but the chicken filling was indistinguishable as chicken, very much like a paste.

I haven't tried many sushi bars/restaurant in Montreal but this is my top pick for sure. I often go with kamikaze salmon, dynamite, & kamikaze tuna. Their mango roll is also yummy.

Ordered a combo & some of the rice in my rolls was hard & dry. The presentation was ok, but they wrapped up my order in a paper bag & stapled it without asking or providing any chopsticks or napkins: maybe they don't do this anymore for takeout in Montreal to reduce waste? But I'm only staying one night in a hotel, so I ate the sushi with my hands. I found the entirety of my experience from service to food to wait times to be quite average, so I'm surprised by the higher star rating.

I've ordered for takeout from Dragon Bol Griffintown on several occasions & they never disappoint! Whether selecting à la carte makis, rolls or sashimi, or choosing their deluxe box, it is a feast both for the eyes & tastebuds! I recommend pairing their deluxe box with a Chablis for a wonderful meal with friends!

DELICIOUS. We loved the eel rolls, miso soup, crab poke bowl, salmon roll. They are super busy with takeout but we ate in person & it was a lovely experience.
