Review Summary

Overall, reviews describe a mix of strong bagel flavors and affordable options alongside criticisms of price, portion size, and inconsistency, with many noting a kosher menu and a casual, cafeteria-like atmosphere that can feel busy or impersonal. The ordering kiosk is easy to use and the space features Jewish texts, with an upstairs dining area that some appreciate for comfort and accessibility while others find the vibe not intimate. Bagels are praised as tasty and some consider them among the best in town, yet others report very small or burnt breakfast bagels and drinks that lack intensity. The menu centers on Jewish breakfast favorites and offers customization, but portions and price sometimes clash with expectations and single-use disposable tableware draws comment. Despite mixed experiences, the spot remains popular in Montreal's Jewish community and draws praise for friendly service and quality ingredients alongside critiques of inconsistency and price.

This place is not really worth it.
Ordered 2 breakfast bagels & they both were really small & burnt, which made them taste bitter.
My hot coffee was not bad.

The service is like mcdonalds with a similar atmosphere, disposable tableware but not as busy.
This place is definitely very popular among local jewish community.

2 breakfast bagels + Iced coffee + cappuccino was 50$ before tip! Too pricy for what it was which is sad…

District Bagel has a menu spanning Jewish breakfast favourites, centering around bagels as the name suggests. The ordering kiosk is easy to use & offers customization options. The space has Jewish texts throughout the place. Not that it bothered me but was just irregular to see in what I expected to be a secular space. I went for the breakfast sandwich, which I had a mixed experience with. All of the ingredients were of great quality, but inappropriately thick cut for a sandwich. When I opened the paper, a third of the ingredients were already outside of the bagel so I knew I was in for a messy meal. There's no way you can get through this thing without it completely disassembling after a couple bites. The avocados were particularly large & to be honest totally unnecessary in this sandwich. The sandwich isn't cheap either, it's oddly priced about the same as the plates. I really think they should just remove the avocado because it's not really complimentary to the sandwich, makes it even messier & adds to the cost. As difficult to eat as it was, it was still really tasty. I liked the comfy upstairs dining room they had with an accessible sink which I very much needed.
