Copier le code du widgetThe "picnic to go" concept sounded good, however, we felt very disappointed in the quantity of food. We ordered a picnic for six people. We got a basket with six plates and cutlery, two napkins, a small table cloth, food that was at best, adequate for 1.5 people, tap water in jars, one biscuit to be shared by six, one piece of pie with melting whipped cream, again to be shared by six. The food itself wasn't bad, but the amount given for the price charged, left these customers with a bad taste in their wallets. Perhaps dining at the restaurant is a different experience, but I would not recommend the picnic idea. Go pick up smoked meat sandwiches at Schwartz's, some bottled water at a grocery store, fruit from the Jean Talon market, and a few pastries from any bakery...and you will come out ahead. Sorry Dinette Triple Crown....your jewels have fallen out of the crown.
Super bon, beaucoup de choix et les quantités sont généreuses. Mes favoris: le big nasty et la limonade sont à tomber. Très bel accueil à chaque fois. Ce restaurant fait partie des valeurs sûres à retenir dans la quartier.
Adorable picnic basket concept with Southern-style food. We took a Tomatoes salad, a piece of fried chicken and a combo Meat and Threes with green collards, sweet potatoes and a buttermilk bread (contrarily to its dense-looking appearance, it was surprisingly fluffy, light, and buttery). The specialty of the house is the fried chicken (great seasoning and moist chicken meat), and the sauces that accompany it are amazing (they give you a nice selection of small sauce bottles when you take out in a picnic basket). Lemonade or ice tea can be taken out in cute mason jars as well. There is a park right across the street where most people go to picnic, albeit not a very big one. If you don't mind the walk Parc Jarry is about 15 minutes North.
If you like deep-fried Southern foods and picnics you're at the right place.
Order, drag your basket out to the park next door and stuff your face with things that will make you feel guilty afterwards (but during you don't care one bit).
Their fried chicken is my favourite and they also make a mean hushpuppie.
Since Dinette Triple Crown is, true to its name, a small part of a room, it was a downright genius move on their part to offer the option of packing your meal into a picnic basket and directing you over to the park across the street.
Firstly, who doesnt love a picnic? As evidenced by my friendship group, if a guy invites you on a picnic as a first date (and makes you butter tarts), youll end up marrying him. True story. Moral: picnics are romantic (whatever your definition of romance might be as long as it includes sentimentality or idealism).
