We had an incredible experience dining at Dinette Marcella! The restaurant is located in the heart of Old Montreal & has a classy, yet relaxed feel. From the service to the food, we had zero complaints. Highly recommend the tortellini in rosé & cacio e pepe pastas. We will definitely come back here!
Nous avons eu une très belle expérience pour un souper en famille. Michael (notre serveur) a été fantastique. Enthousiaste, attentionné, il a même apporté un petit gâteau à ma fille de 14 ans dont on soulignait l'anniversaire. Les drinks sont exquis, la nourriture délicieuse, dans une ambiance festive. Nous y retournerons c'est certain!
Ce restaurant a l'air incroyable depuis l'extérieur, malheureusement il ne tient pas sa promesse. Le service etait beaucoup trop rapide, nous avons precisé vouloir finir notre cocktail avant de nous servir le plat pour pouvoir déguster un verre de vin en accordance. Le plat est arrivé 5mn après notre cocktail ! Cela n'avait une délicatesse & ne répondait aux saveurs! Les gniocchi al tartufo sont decevant & n'avait aucun goût de truffe (seulement de cêpes) ! Les cacio e peppe n'etait en rien le fameux plat italien attendu ! (Ne respecte pas la recette & trop salé) ! Décevant! un restaurant moyen a Rome fait bien mieux! On en a eu pour 200$ soit 3 diners en Italie pour 2 sans entrée!
The pasta Carbonara was so bad, definitely not Italian.... Milanesa was too crunchy & dry for that price should be amazing, salad very regular with green hard tomatoes....& we had the misfortune to have the worst server, we sit in the bar & beside us sat a man that all the servers where very eager & happy to say hi & that's fine, i suppose is a regular, but our server was so focus on that man that he gave us the beverages while talking to him, not even looking at us, gave me a spoon to eat the chicken, gave no napkins... every-time he approached us was to talk to the man besides us, he simply acted as he didn't care at all, very disappointed of everything for a "fine dinning" place 👎🏻
Dinette Marcelle est un excellent restaurant italien, avec de merveilleux plats un peu réinventés mais toujours dans l'esprit de la cuisine traditionnelle de Nonnas italiennes. Très bon service dans un magnifique décor. Un incontournable du Vieux-Montréal. Jean-François B.
What I look for in an Italian Restaurant in Montreal is the feeling that I am sitting down in Rome to enjoy a meal & expect the food to be not necessarily sophisticated but with deep flavour & well seasoned. My truffle gnocchi came close with a creamy sauce with a distinct truffle flavour but a little shy of mushrooms & seasoning. The gnocchi were a disappointment as they were too small & too tough. Ture potato gnocchi are light & soft with an indentation to hold the sauce, At $34 for a plate, being authentic would be a bonus. Service was fabulous & the open windows & quiet atmosphere was appreciated. Cocktails & mocktails deliciuos as well. I would give them another try.

Apetizers are so good. However, I ordered the pasta carbonara & oh my god it was so bad. Tasted bitter & like cheap pepper, not even close to real carbonara. Otherwise the service & the atmosphere were excellent.

Excellent plat - gnocchi truffe - & bon vin blanc pour 65$ Pinot grigio. Service très agréable & professionnel. Ambiance bonne musique & tamisée , festive avec lanternes & loupiotes au plafond; la carte est de qualité, propose un choix limité & tout fait maison. Toutes les pâtes sont délicieuses, foccacia aussi! Petit bémol sur le tiramisu au dessert : pas le goût de café, manquait de crémeux & des petites de chocolat en plein milieu (pas très traditionnel).
