Beautiful location in Magog. The food was fabulous, my husband claimed the best burger he has ever had! The beer was great. A beautiful sunny day on the beautiful river. & our waitress was very friendly & helpful.
Food & beer is nothing special. The biggest selling point is the fantastic atmosphere & occasional live music. Being right by the water, its a great dining experience.
The service is decent but this was considered on par with pre covid service. Waitress was polite & considerate.
Great beers, good food, & lovely servers but why is there only 2 working the Sunday of a beautiful May weekend? Service was incredibly slow because the place got slammed & those 2 poor servers had to serve the entire restaurant & patio alone. Management needs to step up & schedule better or help out their servers. Great place but maybe in need of better management.
The food was delicious, service was very slow for a Wednesday lunch hour, with only about 18 people about in the restaurant. Took 2 hours to eat & pay. Was never asked what we wanted to drink, I ordered a beer after receiving my food & it NEVER came. The waitress made us feel she was not happy being there. I understand she could have been having an off day. 23rd of april 2025.

If I could give 10 stars I would. They let us eat on the terrasse outside with our dog & turned on the heater & brought extra blankets. Nicest restaurant staff I have ever met. The food was so delicious, had the halloumi burger, sooo good! & the beer selection is awesome. Thank you for making our day with your kindness & great food & beer. We will be back for sure!
Nice place for a microbrewery after a hike at Mont Orford. Our server was nice but a little on the brash side. Food was so so... Nachos came out not especially hot & the poutine gravy is weird. My chicken burger was pretty good but the pulled pork tacos my friend got were a little low on taste. Good selection of beer, but they don't sell any of their beers at the restaurant which is weird & a missed opportunity. In fact, when we asked our server said, go to Metro to buy them. LOL
Hidden gem on the water.. great selection of beer to choose from on tap... sat outside & it was nicely covered... food was good along with the spirits.. good selection of signature cocktails to pick & enjoy.. great atmosphere to hang out in. Definitely must go check out if in Magog area worth the trip..

Only took a beer with friends, great service, smiley staff. Next to the marina {it doesn't smell fuel}. Will go back to test the food, good looking plates, good portion visually. Thanks for the great afternoon.
The food was delicious. The service was absolutely terrible. Luckily we frequent Des Cantons often & have had great service. We waited over 20 minutes for 2 beer which only came because we finally flagged her down. We had asked her for a cloth to wipe up a wet spot on my seat so I could sit down, she never came with it. The bus boy wiped it up for us. When the food arrived we had no utensils & no napkins, another waitress brought the utensils & the waitress brought the napkins, but no apology. She wasn't rushing around either so it wasn't like she was overwhelmed & busy. We actually felt bad for the other waiters/waitresses & the chefs. I understand good help is hard to find, maybe she was new, but she could have at least apologized, or made an effort to look like she cared.
The food at Des Cantons Microbrasserie in Magog is fantastic! We enjoyed the ribs & burgers, & they were delicious, meeting all our expectations. However, we were surprised by the beer on tap (Back Country), which tasted very different from their canned beers sold in stores. It wasn't bad, but the flavor profile was so different that I double-checked to make sure it was the right beer. It was. Unfortunately, it took 1 hour & 30 minutes to receive our main dishes, even though the restaurant wasn't full. It was frustrating to see other patrons, who arrived after us, getting their food before us. Our waiter eventually admitted he had forgotten our order & had just put it in. As compensation, we were promised that our two entrées would be on the house. However, we only received one of them-the crispy cheese, which was good. The other entrée, the "crevettes bang bang," never arrived, which was disappointing as we were looking forward to it. In the end, we were compensated with one entrée, one beer, & soft drinks for the kids. Despite the wait & the service hiccups, the food was delicious & worth it. Most servers seemed to be avoiding patrons, & we noticed from their expressions that many were also tired of waiting. This wasn't a major issue for us as we were able to enjoy the nice weather by the water while we waited. Management should ensure there are enough staff to avoid such situations in the future, as not everyone may be as patient. Despite the service issues, we loved the experience & will definitely return. The beer from Des Cantons is excellent, & we want to continue supporting this local business. Sometimes service lapses happen, & I hope management takes steps to improve. The staff seemed stressed & were doing their best with limited resources. We hope for better service next time.
Loved the chicken club sandwich. Blonde beer was very refreshing on a warm evening. Service was excellent & the view was beautiful. Thanks for the wonderful evening

The interior is beautiful ! The view of outside from the restaurant is beautiful. Food is good. Took ordinary poutine & tasted different than what I have taken. Price a bit high. Waiting time is good. Place is clean & waitress & waiter always available to help. Beer is good also! The place not too loud. Great place for nights out & hang out with friends. I recommend
