Man that pulled pork sandwich. Nice people & enough hipsterness to kill a horse!
The Cubano from Dépanneur Le Pick-Up is one of Montréal's most iconic sandwich experiences no exaggeration. The version in your photo looks like the full glory of what they're known for: a gloriously messy, overflowing stack of textures & flavors.
Thick slices of crusty, golden-pressed bread hold together a decadent mix of slow-roasted mojo pulled pork, thin ribbons of ham, & melted cheese that oozes into every crevice. Pickles & mustard cut through the richness with sharp, briny brightness, while the pork brings deep, savory heft. Everything is warm, juicy, & perfectly unrefined the exact kind of sandwich that insists you use both hands & maybe even a few napkins.
It's the kind of Cubano that feels both comforting & indulgent, crafted in that uniquely Montréal way where deli tradition meets neighborhood creativity.
They also have a Grilled Seoul Chicken Sandwich with marinated Gochujang thighs, kimchi style slaw with cilantro to lend some freshness & some kewpie mayo to tie it down & give it even more richness! 10/10
Low key sandwich place, but extremely tasty! Highly recommend stopping here for one of the best sandwiches ever. My fiance said the cuban sandwich was top tier (& hes cuban!) We also got the pulled pork sandwich & it was amazing as well. Really good service. We cannot be happier with the whole experience
Been coming here for years!
The veggie pulled pork feels like the first of its kind in the city- textures & flavors just hit . Been a place that I always recommend to others when visiting.
It honestly hasn't changed that much despite the years gone by, it's really stood the test of time. All of thier food is so good, well thought out & always satisfying. The staff are great also, & the coffee is great.
My go-to's: veggie pulled pork sandwich, & haloomi sandwich
Sandwich heaven! Pulled pork was superb, moist, perfectly seasoned on delicious bread. Lunch special egg sandwich with shredded veggies & honey was a symphony of flavors. Hot dog with Cole slaw was the best dog I've had in ages. It has a great selection of local craft beers which proprietor gladly described for us. It's a tiny place on a quiet corner in an old building & a remarkable place to find such culinary delights.
The best veggie pulled'pork' & an incredible halloumi sandwich! The staff are super friendly, & the atmosphere is really laid-back. Don't leave without trying the house hot sauces - especially the mango or tangerine
Going here was the worst decision because i fear i may NEVER find a better sandwich for the rest of my life. I had the pulled pork sandwich & omfg!!! Please know that if you go here you will be forced to realize that every sandwich you have after this will be mediocre.
great little sandwich place & they sell beer. Courteous & helpful staff. I've tried the Chipotle Club sandwich & the pulled pork & both were amazing. If you like sandwiches you need to try this place.
I recently visited Le Pick Pick Up after not being there for a couple of years, & unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing (Order#173270-01). I went in to grab some food to go, but when I got home, I immediately noticed the portion sizes were significantly smaller than I remembered, & the prices were much higher.
The vegan pulled pork sandwich, in particular, was not up to par. The VPP sandwich had a burnt taste that wasn't enjoyable-definitely not the quality I expected. I also ordered the Grand Patate, which at $7, seemed more like a regular serving of potatoes rather than a generous portion. The only item that was alright was the Big Bernie Mac.
To top it off, I paid $1 for mayo, but it was missing from my order entirely. The lack of attention to detail made the experience frustrating.
Overall, I spent $41 on a sandwich, a burger, & some potatoes, & frankly, it just didn't feel worth it.
