Several slices were visibly bruised & starting to spoil, with dark brown patches that were unappetizing & should not have been served. This reflects poor quality control & lack of care in preparing food for customers.I will not be ordering again unless I see clear improvement.
The food was good. However the service was extremely slow. The server got other people's order wrong multiple times & forgot one of our orders. Took 10 minutes to get our mango sticky rice, which we had to ask for twice. The service can be improved for sure.View more
This is one of the few Halal Thai restaurants in Montreal. The outdoor ambience is good & service is quick & efficient.
We ordered Mango Salad & Papaya salad. Both were good but I prefer the Mango salad. For the main course we ordered Pad Thai & Tofu Fried Rice. I didn't like either one. The dishes were bland & lacked flavour.
Overall, if you are looking for Halal Thai, it's worth trying out.View more
The service is spectacular, the food is literally a chefs kiss, so delicious so authentic! Also first time trying to mango sticky rice as a dessert, overall sooo great! I feel I could eat here almost everyday. We had the chicken pad Thai, red curry & green curry. & wow, will definitely be coming here again next time I'm in Montreal! I can't remember my waiters name, but he was tall, very nice & accommodating! Great experience overallView more
I came to this restaurant to try it out after a Thai friend recommended it. We ordered Yum Talay, soup Tom Kha with chicken & Pad Ka Prao with beef. Everything was so delicious & flavorful with attractive colors. We finished with Creme brulee pandan & sticky rice with mango which were absolutely top-notch. I just wish that the amount were bigger. I'm Asian, but even after eating all that food, I still didn't feel full.
Service guy was fast & friendly, I felt cared :)
We're fan now & will come back for sure.View more
I love my Issan papaya salad but it's a bit too salty, same as the Pad see ew. This brought me back to Thailand fr. I was surprised that they have ice cream with mango sticky rice too, it's sooooo GOOD! The owner is super friendly, let us tried the new dish.
I hate to see comments like'I've been to so many Thai restaurants it didn't taste like other Thai restaurants''the food is REPULSIVE' DO YOUR RESEARCH! Each part of Thailand has its own unique flavor, & they're not just sweet & sour!
Like EXCUSE me? You ordered papaya with stinky fish sauce & you're here complaining?!!!! Maybe ask before you order it?! I'm not even Thai but I feel the disrespect! That's really disrespectful to a restaurant which is trying to make authentic food ! Maybe you should just keep going to your whitewashed Thai restaurants! You don't belong to here. 100% uneducated ignorant & not well cultured!View more

Absolutely stunning. We found this place totally by accident on our trip to Montreal, just happened to be hungry in that area & my wife is Thai so we spotted Thai food & just jumped for it, & it ended up being a huge highlight of our trip. Food was delicious & VERY reasonably priced, huge portion sizes, & visually gorgeous. My wife got the mango salad & the Deksen Tom Yum, & I got the special, the agneau panang, with the iced green tea. Absolutely gorgeous--the lamb was SPOON tender, absolutely falling off the bone, & the sauce was smooth & super flavorful. Her shrimp were perfectly cooked & everything tasted amazing. Service was quick & attentive, & we were genuinely shocked at how much food we got for so little money. We will 100% visit again next time we're in town. Pictures included of the mango salad & the panangView more
Wow! C'etait tellement bon. Moi qui viens de revenir de Thailande je retrouve enfin de la nourriture authentique thailandaise. Mango sticky rice mon dessert préféré. Super service egalement. Pad sew est delicieuxView more
The standout dish for us was the Yum Talay Seafood Salad-fresh, tangy, & perfectly balanced in flavors. The Pad Sew was also well-executed, with tender noodles & a savory sauce. The Beef Laap Namtok was bursting with flavor, though it was a bit too spicy for our taste. The Mango Sticky Rice, unfortunately, fell short as it wasn't sweet enough to our liking. The Tom Yum Soup was decent but not particularly memorable. Overall, a great spot for genuine Thai flavors with a few minor tweaks needed.View more
I'm a big fan of Thai food & this spot was delicious & among the best I've had in Montreal. Really big portions for a reasonable price. I very much enjoyed the Mango salad & Drunken noodles. I also really appreciated that it was all halal & could take my Muslim friend. Will be back for more!View more
Montreal's FIRST HALAL Thai restaurant! Picture a cozy vibe & dishes exploding with Thai flavours-it's like a mini vacay to Thailand. We tried a medley of starters-delicious savoury chicken-filled Gyoza, zesty Papaya Salad, & delightful fried chicken wings, authentic Thai sausage (nothing like I have ever had before) & fiery Tom Yum. For mains, we devoured the iconic spicy Kaosoi with its crispy noodles & the velvety Beef Paaneng really hit the spot! Don't miss out on their traditional Thai desserts to round off your feast- we indulged in sticky mango rice & crispy fried banana drizzled with chocolate sauce, served alongside creamy ice cream. Every dish feels like a homemade masterpiece, crafted with love & fresh ingredients. Everything is certified Halal & there is no pork/alcohol. Plus, they're super accommodating, making you feel like part of the family. If you're craving authentic Thai vibes in Montreal, Dek Sen is where it's at!View more
I honestly wish we had taken the time to take photos of the food but it was so delicious we couldn't stop eating! The food is SO fresh, authentic & the place is so clean ! Had the tom kha soup, the beef curry with rice & another dish with glass noodles & mango salad. Everything was amazing & the portions are very fair for the price. definitely recommend & would come again!View more
What a phenomenal find. This place is family owned. Food is all home made, including any sauces they give you. Everything is halal on the menu & tasted absolutely amazing - mango salad was so refreshing!!!. The ambience is cozy & intimate. The service was probably the best I have ever had - the entire visit was a remarkable experience. Can't wait to go back & try more of their menu & hospitalityView more
Really enjoyed our dinner here. Service was a bit slow in the beginning with taking their time to get our order, but once they did, everything else was like clockwork with appetizers & soup, followed by our meals & the dessert. Authentic delicious Thai food with large portions that left us way too full to enjoy our second order of mango sticky rice - but no worries, it was well enjoyed later that night at home! Will return for sure if we come back to Montreal! Highly recommend!View more
Wow amazing thai food i loved it !!!!!! Beef salad & mango salad was so fresh & tasty. 10/10View more
We were around the area & seeing the high review score we decided to try it. It was a good decision & we really enjoyed it. The person there was super attentive with our kid & made sure that everything was right.
We ordered a mango salad, fried calamari, pad thai, & pad see ew & it was all pretty good. To drink we had Thai iced tea & some kind of pink milk drink that our kid really really liked. I'm sure we will be back if we are in the area View more
We went for a birthday dinner, party of 6 on a Sunday. There was no wait. The food is outstanding & probably the best Thai food I've had. As good or better than San Francisco Thai, which is my standard & go to. You can disagree, but this is my review.
The staff was responsive & friendly. The chef stopped by our table a couple of times to check on us.
We had a couple of dietary restrictions in our group & all were accommodated perfectly.
We had an assortment of appetizers: papaya salad, mango salad (favorite), gyoza, fried chicken wings (delicious), friend tofu. For entree we had pad see ew & pad Thai with different proteins. All was outstanding!
The birthday girl is a picky eater & she cleaned the plate! That says a lot.
It also appears that it's a women run restaurant (did not confirm), but the chef was a woman, & that gets it a 6th star in my book.
Will go Back. Thank you!View more
