Amazing service and high quality ingredients. Our family really enjoyed our breakfast which was delicious. Will definietly be going back.
This place is a King of Breakfasts!
Since I first came to Mr. Nondas' restaurant back 8 years ago and until now - there is no better place where you can enjoy authentic, all-natural ingredients breakfast recipes in Montreal, where eggs benedict is not overdone, grapefruit smoothie is freshly squeezed indeed (not from a box), espresso is made to perfection, and the service is really a top-class one... Trust me I have been in most breakfast places in town, and nothing can even compare to Cosmopolitan. If somebody tells you otherwise - probably this person eats MacEggs or frozen meals for breakfast...
Recently they started serving late dinners with a special dinner menu. Haven't tried that yet but definitely will!
Size of portions is very generous, and the price is surprisingly low (I still cannot figure out how the owner can manage it these days!).
Bottom line - if you like going out for breakfast or lunch and enjoy eating tasty food - look no further, go to Dejeuner Cosmopolitan.
Ordered poached eggs with smoked salmon, was not as expected.
Great West Island breakfast haunt...as evidenced by the out-the-door crowds of patrons lining up for their breakfast and brunch fixes.
Once seated, service is always prompt and friendly, portions are on the generous side, and the crepes are wonderfully tasty. Fruits and vegetables are always served fresh.
Pricing falls well within the realm of what you'd expect to pay for a like resto/bistro.
Nice surroundings. I didn't emjoy my seafood crepe which I found spomgy while the filling seemed full of white (flour) sauce but my son enjoyed his meal of breakfast meats, pancakes and waffles. The servings are substantial and the waitresses, though inattentive, were pleasant. They have a bar here.
Very busy resto so service sometimes suffers but the food is just AMAZING! Always enjoy my meal here and portions are big. Will go again and again!
I go to this breakfest resturent almost every sunday because it is amazing and the food. I always have pancakes or walfauls and they are amazing. My dad has a omlete and i eat it to it is terrific. My brother has otmeal and they are good but not the best. the service is amazing and they make kids feel great. There food is really good and tastes amazing.
the only problem with this place is that there prices are pretty high fro breakfest but there service and the qulity of food is amazing.
I would reccomend it for anyone.
This restaurant has a HUGE menu selection and portion sizes are considerable. After dining here many, many times, I can say the service is always consistently good, the food is always delicious and my guest and I are always satisfied when we leave. This restaurant is a little loud when busy, so I would not recommend for an intimate dining experience, however it is kid-friendly and can accommodate large groups.
I highly recommend for brunch as the crepes, pancakes and eggs are wonderful, however if you go for lunch, I can also say the chicken club sandwich with fries is a huge hit. Enjoy!
ive been a couple of times, i love the plates for some reason!lol well service not bad altho one of the times i went it was very slow and she gave me the wrong plate... but she was friendly and food is pretty good
Running a breakfast restaurant - which Déjeuner Cosmopolitain is - should be a simple matter. About 10 basic ingredients (eggs, bacon, ham, sausages, potatoes, coffee, fruit, toast and pancake batter) are combined in 101 combinations to please the client. There's no wine list, no bar, no fancy cooking - it's really Restaurant 101. Just make sure each table has coffee refills, sugar, jam and peanut butter - that's it! Why then are so many breakfast places off the mark?
Cosmopolitain looks promising at first glance. Its West Island location is easy to find, has lots of free parking, large clean bathrooms and the decor is attractive, if a bit dated. The tables are level (not wobbly) and the seats comfortable (Yes, I look at everything!). Service is fast and efficient. You are immediately greeted and even if there is a lineup, it moves quickly. The servers are plentiful and check in with you often to make sure all is well.
Cosmopolitain's menu is the largest breakfast menu in Montreal - and I've been just about everywhere. There are literally hundreds of combinations from A to Z.
I `ve been to this place 3 times: twice for breakfast and once for brunch.
What I liked: thir GREAT fresh-squeezed orange juice, their attention to detail ( their tap water is filtered!!! I asked ) , cleanliness , the bathrooms were clean ( YAY!!) , staff friendliness, menu selection was varied compared to a lot of breakfast places, they were accomodating when I wanted to change an item in my menu choice.
I had walnut-banana-cheese crepes that were super light ( and I usually don`t eat crepes) . I also had a mango-fruit - cheese cup that was a great choice for a light, yet filling breakfast. The fruits were very fresh and presentation was good. For brunch , I had a great grilled chicken ceasar salad. The chicken was tender and the greens were fresh and not a single one was wilted ( yes , I looked ) .
My friends had eggs, ham and their special house potatoes which were delicious.
What I didn`t like: the waiting area which was full of people and a little cramped ( it was too cold to wait outside). Regardless, we never waited more than 10 minutes and even if the line-up seemed daunting, everyone was seated.
This is easily one of my favorite breakfast places.
