The food, service & atmosphere were all a 10/10. It's such a cute setting, nice little vibe & music. The waiter was extremely friendly & helpful. & the food was just sooo good. Particularly enjoyed the mushroom tajine, the bread & the grilled halloumi. Oh also the carrot cake was cray. Would 100% go back!View more

I found this place on Eater & decided that this would be the place to eat at during a small 2 night stay in Montréal. I was not disappointed! Moroccan cuisine, dishes with thought out flavors & textures. Our dinner was fantastic. Ordered the: Flatbread, Grilled Halloumi, Beet Salad, Chicken Tagine, & Grilled Octopus I thought the halloumi, chicken tagine, & grilled octopus were really good. I wish the pieces of chicken in the tagine were a bit bigger, I'd say. The flavor & texture was great. Crunch, salt, sweet, savory... all in the chicken tagine. All the dishes were fantastic, I would recommend!View more

When we sat at the bar at Darna, the owner - Otman - told us that the word "darna" translates to our home, & indeed, that is how the restaurant feels. The food is impeccable - balanced & flavorful - it takes you on a journey, but also immediately makes you feel comfort. Flavors are subtle, creative, & always surprising. The atmosphere is just beautiful with great art (including the wallpaper in the bathroom) & great music. This was a place that if I lived in Montreal, we would frequent with abandon - a place for the most special of meals, but also somewhere you want to be a regular.View more

I recently was asked to arrange a large group dinner for ~15 of my work colleagues with less than two weeks' notice. Despite the short time frame, Darna was more than happy to accept our group. They were prompt communicators, easy to work with (despite our party changing head count multiple times!), & accommodated all dietary restrictions in our group. The meal was served family style because of our party's size, which meant we were able to try almost everything on their menu. In a city of great food, this meal really stood out-everyone in our group commented on what a great meal it was & how happy they were with everything.View more

J'ai récemment dîné au restaurant DATNA & je dois dire que l'expérience a été tout simplement délicieuse! L'ambiance chaleureuse & accueillante m'a tout de suite mis à l'aise. Le service était impeccable, avec un personnel attentif & courtois. Quant à la cuisine, chaque plat était un véritable festin pour les papilles, avec des ingrédients frais & savamment préparés. Je recommande vivement le plat de spécialité de la maison, c'était une explosion de saveurs! En résumé, une soirée gastronomique mémorable que je compte bien renouveler très bientôt.
