Review Summary

Daigyo is widely regarded as a top-tier destination in Montreal for high-quality matcha drinks and unique soft-serve ice cream. Visitors frequently praise the diverse menu, which features innovative seasonal flavors like rose, jasmine, yuzu, and pistachio, often noting that the combinations of earthy matcha and refreshing fruit or floral notes are exceptionally well-balanced. While the majority of patrons highlight the friendly and efficient service, as well as the convenience of its location within a larger market, some feedback suggests inconsistency in the strength of the matcha flavor or the proportion of ice in certain beverages. Despite mixed opinions on the atmosphere and specific product ratios, the establishment remains a popular go-to spot for those seeking delicious, authentic-style Japanese tea treats.

Its really good, you can really taste the matcha & the red bean adds a little bit of sweetness to it. Really good 10/10 would recommend. Its not too sweet not too bitter, a perfect dessert treat for an Asian mom🤣

I love that I don't have to travel to Japan to enjoy my favorite matcha dessert. It's one I keep coming back for again & again. The combination of matcha ice cream & red beans is out of this world, & if you dig to the bottom, there's even a delightful crunchy surprise waiting for you!

The white peach & jasmine tea smoothie was so crisp & good.

Would definitely recommend it despite it being a matcha place!!

The workers there were also very good.

Had a quick grab before leaving the store & the latte was served warm with a cute heart💚 The lady filled my cup to the brim👌🏼, but I wish the matcha had a stronger taste to my liking. I'd still come back to try something new😊

Great service with friendly staff but sorry the matcha latte did not live up to my expectations. I felt the milk-matcha ratio was off, I could only taste the milk in my drink. I'd stick with Zenmai & Tsujiri for my matcha drinks for now.

I paid $12 for an iced hojicha with ice cream & honestly, it was a huge disappointment. The ice cream portion was tiny-barely noticeable-& the cup was over 130% filled with ice. Literally filled with ice ,can't even put my straw in, there was almost no hojicha flavor at all. Because they poured it out just to make room for more ice. Not worth the price, i finished it with 2 sips & I wouldn't recommend it.
