Review Summary

Da Giovanni is widely regarded as a classic Montreal staple that successfully maintains the authentic recipes and nostalgic flavors of its original location. Many visitors praise the consistent quality of the spaghetti, meatballs, pizza, and signature pasta sauce, noting that the portions are generous and the prices are fair. While the atmosphere is frequently described as cozy, welcoming, and well-decorated, opinions on the service and management are mixed; some patrons highlight the professional and friendly staff, whereas others mention issues with staffing levels and occasional operational inefficiencies. Despite some varying feedback regarding the modern decor and recent changes, the restaurant remains a beloved destination for those seeking traditional Italian comfort food.
