Le gout est très ordinaire, le spaghetthi sauce à la viande & la pizza de mes amis était décevante. Ne payez pas si cher pour une qualité d'aliments médiocres. Beaucoup de resto de pates & pizza offrent mieux.
Ce restaurent a mon avis a perdu son ambiance dans temps. Plus encore, ancien restaurent il y avait des files à la porte. Il était vide a l'heure qui arrivait au souper. Décors est pas superbe. Le spaghetti bon, mais pas beaucoup de sauce.

J'ai fait livrer par Uber. Après plus de 30 ans sans avoir mangé leur excellent spaghetti sauce à la viande & 1 boulette, je n'ai pas été déçue, j'avais oublié à quel point c'est bon & délicieux, accompagné d'un succulent gâteau au chocolat! Je donne 10/10. Très satisfaite!

My parents used to take me here when I was a little girl. While the food is still good, something about the atmosphere just isn't the same since they moved. It used to feel like walking into a big family dinner, with warmth, energy, & that old-school Italian charm. I remember the cook in the windows making sauces & spaghetti for all the passersby to see! It was so unique. Now, it feels a little too polished, a little too impersonal-with the TV screens & the decor that's just like every other restaurant. It's lost the essence of what made it special.
Another disappointment was the misleading website. The pictures show pizzas that aren't even on the menu, which was frustrating when we sat down expecting to order something that simply wasn't available. It left the impression that either the menu had been changed without updating the site, or the images were just for show. Don't call it a Margherita pizza when it isn't.
Overall, if you're just here for a meal, the food still delivers. But if you're looking for that nostalgic Da Giovanni experience, you might leave feeling like something's missing.
Got the Pizza-ghetti because it seemed like a fun, whimsical dish. However the pizza tasted like school cafeteria food & the pasta sauce was okay. Service was also pretty slow for how empty the place was at the time.
J'aime beaucoup le restaurant j'y vais depuis plusieurs années sauf que depuis peu je trouve très dommage que souvent quand nous allons chercher de la sauce au comptoir, on se fait dire qu'ils en on plus & que ce n'est que pour la salle à manger. C'est un peu anormal pour un restaurant de pâtes. Peut être en faire plus & la faire congelé. Ce n'était pas comme ça à l'emplacement d'avant.
Amazing restaurant, the staff was friendly & very receptive, the food was delicious! I got an meat spaghetti & it was perfect, the sauce, the pasta, the cheese, loved it. Would & will definitely come back. 5/5
Excellent restaurant spécialement le spaghetti & les pizzas & menus du jour cuisine maison. Sauce à la viande unique mais juste un peu trop liquide. Staff aimable, poli & accueillant. Bon rapport qualité-prix. Vaut vraiment la peine de l'adopter.

It tasted like boxed pasta & canned sauce with ground beef added. Very bland, not worth the $, regretted going there as soon as my entree was put in front of me.
Da Giovanni is one of the oldest restaurants in Montreal. People used to line up outside to get in. What made them special was their special marinara sauce & their very generous servings. The sauce is still the same, but the portion I got last time I was there was really small. I was disappointed.
Je ne sais pas si ce restaurant a été vendu à un nouveau propriétaire, mais la traditionnelle sauce tomate qui était si excellente est disparue. Mon spaghetti a pris le bord des poubelles.
Vous avez raison à 100%! Je suis âgé de 69 ans, et j'ai commencé à manger chez Da Giovanni dans la vingtaine, et la sauce avait un goût exceptionnel! Depuis qu'ils ont vendu, le nouveau propriétaire n'a pas voulu acheter la recette secrète originale, celle qui faisait attendre les clients dehors en ligne meme par temps froid d'hiver tous les jours de la semaine des 16h! Vous ne voyez plus de line-up dehors! Dagiovanni doit surement avoir perdu des miliers de clients fidèles, comme je l'etais moi meme! La nouvelle clientèle est trop jeune pour avoir connue le goût extraordinaire que la sauce à spaghetti Da Giovanni avait! Quel dommage!
