I tried their famous sub & now I get the hype. The dough is different from anywhere else, in a good way. It's filling but doesn't feel heavy after. You can tell they've been making it the same way for years.

I went to DaBologna with a group of friends & had a really great night.
The staff were super friendly & welcoming & made our whole table feel comfortable right away.
I ordered the special maison pizza & a steak sub & both were really good, fresh & full of flavour.
It's just one of those places where the atmosphere is relaxed & you can sit, eat, & enjoy the night with friends. I'll definitely be going back!
I've been going to Da Bologna for years & one thing that's always consistent is the service. Even when it's hectic they keep it together. The staff works as a team which you don't see everywhere. You're not left wondering who your server is or waiting forever to pay. It just runs smoothly.
The waitress there does self tipping, she will get your bill & press the tipping amount before handing you the machine to scan your card. I was under the impression that one chose the tipping amount. Yet, besides the fact that she was rude & grumpy throughout the entire time we were there. She choses the tip amount. I have no complains about the food. But if the waitress continues to be working there. I cant see how it will continue to strive. She didn't care less to offer us water & we had to actually ask for it if not we were going to go without anything to drink. Then when a colleague of mine asked if she could pay the bills all in one so she can pay for two other people with us, she refused to do that. Also, when my friend asked for the regular mini pizza ONLY, which was around 14 dollars, the waitress brought her a soup that went with the menu of the day which was priced at 18 dollars. While my friend was trying to explain that she didn't want that & only wanted the mini pizza, she cut her off while talking, placing her hand a couple inches away from her face in a really rude way raising her voice & forcibly talking over my friend. Tipping is optional, it's not obligated, yet it is good custom, but it should never be FORCED on someone & if so, that person should be able to pick how much they want to tip & not have it chosen for them. I'm sorry but if the waitress continues to work there, im sure you will lose many potential clients. Have a nice day.
Worst service I ever experienced in a restaurant in the entirety of Montreal. To the waitress in glasses who works there (I believe her name is Eleyse), should no longer be working there with how unprofessional & rude she was to us.
Yesterday, around the afternoon, we went as a large group. The waitress we got did not inform us beforehand that it was required to add a tip to our order for auto-gratuity if you are in a large group, so many of us were confused why our bill was greater than the order itself. As I tried to ask politely her why she added a tip without asking, she got in my face to scream'DON'T TELL ME HOW TO DO MY JOB, I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING', & she was extremely unhelpful, & disrespectful to us.
When one of my friends asked about an order she bought, she got a side dish that was not part of the order, & asked if it was going to be added to her receipt. The waitress got up in her face, yelled at her, insisting that it was part of what she ordered. Instead of explaining these things to us kindly, we were insulted, belittled, & disrespected the whole time we were there. She was condescending, & made us feel uncomfortable even sitting at that restaurant. I did not feel safe even staying there, with how horrible she was towards us.
This is the last time I will ever step foot into this restaurant, awful experience. NEVER come here, especially in a large group. I would give 0 stars if I could.
First time client! The service was great considering that there was 1 waitress she was on Fire!!!! Great Job!!! I hope they appreciate Her!!!! Loved my Sub ,Pizza was great,Fries & onion rings were delicious & crispy 😋

It's such a cozy place & the food is awesome....... we had the hamburger steak & with the onions & mushroom gravy....just delicious... the people where very nice too...
I am from Ontario & had come down for my grandmothers celebration of life & we needed a locale for 30 people. I called this place based on high recommendation from others. I called & asked for the owner Vince & explained our short notice situation & asked him if he could accommodate a group of thirty with very little notice & right after Christmas holidays!! I explained we wanted to host a celebration of life. Vince not only accommodated all of us short notice, but, he even opened the restaurant a couple hours early to allow us to have some privacy for our celebration of life!! The food & service was impeccable, delicious, fresh & delivered in a timely fashion. The poutine was gorgeous the pizzas the best I've had in a while! The subs are made with the pizza dough & they aren't doughy!!! Myself & 30 other people can't say enough good things! Sadly I was too busy eating to take pics of food! We will be back it will be our new go to when we visit Montreal! Thankyou again Vince,
