Cocodak is a place that has been on my list for a very long time & I'm sad to say,I was disappointed with my experience there. As an appetizer,we received a spicy cabbage salad & some radish...neither were enjoyable,it didn't feel like much effort was put into the appetizer. My second appetizer was some Sweet & Spicy Boneless chicken, which was also underwhelming, the inside of the chicken felt dry & overcooked, but as a consolation,I did enjoy the crispiness of the outside. My entree was Spicy Small Octopus With Rice, the flavouring that they added i the stir fry was delicious, but the baby octopus itself was rubbery & took a long time to chew. 2/5 The service we received was just okay. The staff catered to us when needed. 3/5 My experience at the restaurant wasn't very pleasant. For one,we were seated right near the door & each & every time someone opened the door, this rush of cold wind would brush against my legs & back.We then requested to move to a different table, this time the table was near the window & although the view of the snow falling on St Catherine was beautiful, our mesmerization wouldn't last long as the windows let cold air seep in again. Not to mention, the seating areas felt a little cramped,it's as if we were sitting at one table with other people. 1/5
I can't believe I found a good soondaeguk (blood sausage soup) in Montreal. It still lacks in a few components but it is by far the best one i have had in Montreal. & it is very filling. They even provide refillable side-dishes (kimchi & pasta salad). I will definitely come back with my fellow soup lover to delight in more delicious soondaeguk.
Delicious food at a fair price, with great service. Can't reccomend their tteoboki enough.
This place deserves 4stars. Food is amazing all the time, the service is speedy & well thought out. However, the I must admit that the tables are way too small, this becomes a major inconvenience especially when a larger group comes about to enjoy themselves. Taste of food compensates for nearly everything.
Lovely people & amazing food. They make. Their traditional bread in front of you.
