The building itself is a heritage building built in 1928 & was previously the Royal Bank of Canada building. Walking in is like going back in time. The art deco design of the building will have you in awe. To top it off, the cafe has wonderful service & a beautiful seating area. The Crew Collective is a must see when visiting Montreal!
Total Instagram hype. Yes, the building is beautiful. Unfortunately, it's incredibly crowded. Naturally, the service is very slow. You will finish your drink before you get your food. No one is cleaning the tables between customers.
The bagel itself was hard & parts were burnt but the toppings were delicious.
There is decent amount of seating, but will be tougher for groups 4+.
Matcha & hot chocolate were okay but the atmosphere & environment were great. Beautiful building & great place to sit in & take pictures. Service was fast & didn't have to wait in line that long when I went on a Wednesday morning. Had lots of seating.

This place is very disappointing. Line wasn't clear, there are two line but with one cashier. Matcha latte was so bad, need to throw it away & what a waste of money. Coffee was ok. Avocado toast felt a bit sour. Grilled cheese was standard & nothing special. Service was barely there. No staff clean the tables or look after the seating area. Overall very overpriced. This place is very crowded with tourists. We won't recommend this place for eating, maybe better to just come & take picture. Interior was beautiful. Can skip this place & better to go to a local coffee place.
I was really disappointed with my experience at Crew Café. The space itself is beautiful, but the policies around working there are not transparent at all.
You're not actually allowed to use your laptop in most of the café. There is a small designated area for it, but it's extremely limited & fills up quickly. The larger seating areas & booths-where you'd naturally want to sit & work-require you to pay $15 per hour, which is honestly surprising for a café setting but again I wouldn't mind paying if there was space.
What's frustrating is that none of this is clearly mentioned on their website, & there are no signs in the café either. You basically only find out after you've already opened your laptop & started working, which feels misleading.
On top of that, the staff attitude didn't help. Instead of being welcoming, some employees were giving off judgmental vibes, almost like you're doing something wrong just by sitting there.
Overall, it looks great, but the experience doesn't match the aesthetic. Definitely not a good spot if you're planning to get work done. These employees what appears to be managers really act like they own the place. Like calm down its not that serious & worth giving your customers attitude. You still have your job cause of us customers.
Their attitude definitely doesnt match the beauty of this cafe, it diminishes it instead.
Beautiful interior & great cafe food, I would highly recommend a visit, there's also lots of seating not immediately visible so it's worth looking around for.
The place is visually beautiful. You enter the Crew Collective, & you truly get that feeling of being in an old royal bank. We decided to stop by to get a coffee, the service was very good, but not all the coffees. The Latte dulce de leche was great, but their cold brew was very underwhelming. It was extremely light & tasted like watery coffee. Also, if you were planning on studying there, I would not recommend it, since they only have a ew designated spots where laptops are allowed. They have a no-laptop policy in the main seating areas. Overall, it was a nice experience, especially visually, but unfortunately, for the drinks, the price paid for them did not pay off what they tasted like.
We ordered a latte, a flat white & a hot chocolate. Two came in take out cups even though we ordered for here. The latte was a bit too milky, the flat white was way too milky & not even hot, the hot chocolate was just okay despite the over $6 price. Disappointed. Wouldn't come again for the drinks, but the setting, seating & building were lovely.
If you don't mind a small wait, the pasteries are amazing & the coffee of the best I've ever had. The atmospere is stunning with ample seating behind the'teller booths'.
