A very cool café serving great drinks & inventive food! The setting inside a former 1920s bank is remarkably impressive-you're sipping coffee under 50-foot vaulted ceilings surrounded by original marble arches, ornate chandeliers, & vintage brass teller booths. It has a distinctly metropolitan & stylish feel.
Long queue just like the other places in Montreal for brunch, but slightly faster due to different way of service. There are multiple counters where you can order your food & then you can find a spot to sit (if lucky), & pick up drinks & food when your buzzer tells you to. The food is good, the vibe busy a bit chaotic until you find a place to sit. But setting of an old bank is quite special. & if you want a second coffee…. You have to go back all the way in the line, so order everything at once!
Very overrated. If you care about your social media, I guess this is the place for you to take photos. The atmosphere is unique, & beautiful. Other than that nothing special, the staff were not impressive, they're dismissive, not friendly, also doesn't smile. The pastries, & drinks we got were just whatever, for the price you pay I would say it's not worth it. Would I come back here? Not really. So basically if you don't come here, don't worry you're not missing out. It's just overrated because of the wanna be social media influencer nonsense.
My husband & I went here because it was very cold while we were walking outside, & wanted to grab something to drink to help us warm up. Everyone was just taking photos, videos, & TikTok while we were in there & that was so cringe. Also the line up was so long even though we got there in the morning.
This cafe used to be the headquarters of RBC back in the 1920s, & it is absolutely beautiful. The architecture & historic charm make it worth a visit just to take in the atmosphere.

Chihiro: A refreshing drink made with tea, yuzu & rose water. Fun fact: the name is inspired by the main character in Spirited Away!
Beautiful building & atmosphere. The service was good, too. But the milk coffee drinks were bad. I ordered a Cortado & a Flat White. I don't care about Latte art, but even though the drinks came lukewarm, the consistency of the milk was - for a lack of a better word - watery. I suspect they used old milk that has been steamed way too hot, so that the proteines broke up & the milk couldn't get foamy at all.
Total Instagram hype. Yes, the building is beautiful. Unfortunately, it's incredibly crowded. Naturally, the service is very slow. You will finish your drink before you get your food. No one is cleaning the tables between customers.
The bagel itself was hard & parts were burnt but the toppings were delicious.
There is decent amount of seating, but will be tougher for groups 4+.
