CSL BBQ is a hidden gem for anyone craving hearty, flavorful comfort food done right. The rotisserie chicken is consistently tender & juicy with perfectly crisp skin, & the portions are generous, offering great value for the price. Their fries are golden & satisfying, & the gravy ties everything together beautifully.
The atmosphere is casual & no-frills, but that's part of the charm-it's the kind of place you go to for reliable, delicious food that hits the spot every time. Service is friendly, efficient, & welcoming, making it a great spot for both takeout & a quick sit-down meal.

Folks, look no further! When I want me some serious barbecue chicken, broiled five minutes before I pop it in my mouth, tender, juicy, crispy skin, satisfying, promoting a sense of emotional security & great memories of childhood, I zip over to pick up some Côte St-Luc BBQ! My family & I have been eating here (take-out, delivery) for more years than I can remember. I have NEVER been disappointed! I have graduated from gravy to hot sauce, but I still can't resist the French fries, cooked to perfection! I find the prices super reasonable, considering that eating at a fancy restaurant now requires taking out a second mortgage, so do not begrudge the owners the reasonable price increases that inflation has caused. Even when I go there alone to pick up something just for me, I have to add an extra entire chicken or more because my kids & grandkids will steal the food from under my nose, the aroma is so mouth-watering! Also: service is friendly & prompt, & great in French & English.View more

Ordered some chicken wings , a salade there , as seen on pictures . I dont like giving people bad notes . Guess I shouldve go for the chicken on charcoal or something. Lessons are hard learned ! Good presentation tho everything was clean when received . The fries needs work guysView more

It's my favorite BBQ chicken spot. Best in town. The atmosphere brings you back to the 60's with a modern twist (they just made some changes). The chicken, sauce, & fries are as good as it gets. The coleslaw is too bland for my liking. Salt, pepper, & extra vinegar help lift the flavor. Right now, June 2024, they have a 2 for $30 dinner. What a great deal. Parking can be tricky but can be found.View more

I ordered smoked meat poutine, which I really liked; the other thing I tried was chicken wings coming with fries, which I won't order again since it's a bit pricy for that quality, I didn't like the fries. I also tried the chicken, which this restaurant believes they are well-known for, which was good also.View more

I used to be a big fan of this place in the days where Frank owned the place. The care & attention to taste, seasoning, freshness, portions were amazing. Since passing on to his two employees the place has improved somewhat by improving the menue (albeit with a lot of frozen ready made products) & changing the interior - though motivated by a fire but kudos on the refresh as it was done properly. Problem these days is quality control on the fresh chicken. Poorly tasting, not fresh & hot, seasoning lacking, bbq sauce inconsistent, Cole slaw inconsistent, salad often with brown spots. Pricing has gotten so high that there are too many substitutes for this restaurant & I elect to go elsewhere. At the end of the day we have moved back to Chalet BBQ on Sherbrooke street west. Chicken is flavourful & fries are perfect & slaw excellent.View more

Took out what I remembered to be great rotisserie chicken, it was good, but not great & the family dinner was missing the second roll & sauce. So I guess they were rushed & neglected to include them. Fries were their usual crispy & greasy goodness.View more

The food here is delightful. We typically get a large family meal. & it never disappoints. I normally tire of getting one thing over & over again, but this meal is fantastic. Of course, the other meals are nearly as delightful, but this one tops it all off. Great chicken, great sauce, & great chips (fries for you Americans). The service was mostly reasonable. But it can be a little slow at times, but the food makes up for that. The atmosphere in there is 10/10 for me. It is beautiful. & it is a great place to dine in. I mostly take out, but I would love to dine in there one day. highly recommend.View more

Fries & chicken was a bit too oily for me but still tasted fine. I'm just confused as to why you don't supply the meals with coleslaw I have never ever seen a chicken place that don't have it included in the meal. I'm sure people would prefer you take out the bun instead of the salad.i know times are hard but to make a huge batch of coleslaw is not that expensiveView more

I have never been to the restaurant itself but always have had my food delivered.
It is one of the best places for nice greasy fries, good coleslaw & juicy chicken & even nice delivery persons. I have been ordering from them for years & so have family & friends.
Back in July was the very first time I was disappointed in my delivered meal & I phoned the restaurant & spoke to the owner to justify my complaint. He was surprised at my disappointment (so was I, but it was indeed not up to par at all - sometimes these things happen even in the best places). There was no big fuss: he simply promised to make up the same order next time I called. I waited awhile & decided to phone tonight. It was perfect! I truly appreciated that he cared enough to keep me as a satisfied customer & made good on his promise to me. I will certainly continue ordering from them on chicken nights!
Postscript June 2015: A couple of times I was NOT happy with the delivery persons. No hello or enjoy your meal as another competitor always does, but I was just handed the bag without a thank you for a very generous tip. After two times, I decided not to order from there. I would still go to their restaurant, though. This comment should only concern those who order in.
