Review Summary

Coq Au Miel is described as a standout for halal fried chicken and Korean comfort dishes, with fast service and a clean, welcoming vibe. Reviewers highlight a strong lineup of fried chicken, mozzarella corn dogs, and other corn dog varieties, plus tasty grilled beef sets, udon, dumplings, miso soup, kimchi and rice, with many calling it a hidden gem that consistently delivers. The menu notes halal chicken meals and also pork grilled dishes, and portions are often described as ample. Some comments mention the food being well seasoned and not overly heavy, though a few find the chicken slightly dry and some sides like pickled veggies tasting a bit old, and a few feel the price is a touch high. The owners are repeatedly described as nice and informative about halal options, making the restaurant feel welcoming and clean, with multiple recommendations to return and to tell others about it.

Delicious moist well-seasoned fried chicken + crispy chewy corn dogs! Our go to Korean restaurant in the west Island! Owners are very nice. Definitely recommend!

Compared to other Korean options in the neighborhood this restaurant's offering is fairly middling. The food wasn't bad by any means but it wasn't noteworthy either. The takoyaki was unusually soft on the outside. The fried chicken was good but a little dry inside. The pickled veggies tasted old or something. The best food, for some people, would probably be the Pogo. I tried the double cheese (mozza & cheddar) Pogo & it was REALLY cheesy. Some people will probably like that but it was way cheesier than I expected it would be. Next time I'll go for the plain Pogo with some sauce on top. While the food was generally ok, for what we got it was kinda pricey.

Excellent little restaurant specializing in Korean food, offering a variety of fried chicken, corn dogs, set meals, udon, stew pots, kimchi, & dumplings. I ordered the grilled beef with salad, two dumplings, miso soup, & rice-everything was very tasty. The service was super polite & friendly. Very clean as well; highly recommended!

Been ordering from this place for a while now, & it has never disappointed. I always go with their fried chicken combo with sweet & spicy sauce. Meal is a solid 10/10 for me!

Good halal food. I highly recommend the red fried chicken is sweet tasteful. Like the udon beef with noodles very tasty. Definatly recommend the original hot dog. Get some picked radish or kimchi on the side with some drinks. Better than I expected.
