It's modern but showing wear on the tables. No custom or simple bagels everything is a premade sandwich. Their cortado's was horrible, bubble foam... But the drip (filter) coffee was fine. Not very busy at 9:30 most weekend mornings.Voir plus

Do you remember the first time you rode a bike? Or what about the first time you received a passport? Life experiences such as these exceed our understanding of normalcy because they intrinsically remind us of our humanity & dignity. Likewise, I can say I remember my first time visiting Columbus Café & Co Crescent on 1370 Saint-Catherine St. W. - It was a cold February morning & at an ontological level I was curious to taste their mocha & chocolate hazelnut muffin. I was pleased with the order & service experience. Neither the Barista nor I brought up any controversial topics & we exchanged the warmest of superficial pleasantries. (The irregularities in cadence were undeniable) Needless to say. I went on to grab a seat & was eager to enjoy the environment let alone the warm beverage & delectable. I sat down at nearby table & sitting on the table was a sign. It wrote the following that Laptops were forbidden on the table. In smaller writing it wrote "Teleworkers, we love you but for parity, we're keeping some tables available for others. Thanks for your understanding." Being the teleworker that I am, it would be a bit of understatement to say my world was changed from those three little words "we love you". To know that as teleworker I'm loved by Columbus Café & Co... My heart was fluttered with emotions as I truly felt like I hit truly hit the psychological jackpot because I could now relinquish my feelings to this Café. I could receive the stability & emotional certainty I've been deeply craving. I could now truly believe that no matter what I do, how I act, what I say, I'm loved by this café. Folks.. to be honest.. I found the mocha pretty good, & the muffin a touch underwhelming. But when you're loved... When a café provides such fealty & steadfastness... Well.. This place is perfect for working remotely. They offer a nice selection of pastries & drinks to choose from, making it an ideal spot for both work & relaxation. I spent about three hours here working & found the environment to be very conducive to productivity. Although it did get a tad cold at times, the overall atmosphere was comfortable & inviting. As for the food, we tried the croissant & vegan brownie, both of which were delicious. The mocha & chai tea latte we ordered were equally impressive, with rich & satisfying flavors. The combination of tasty treats, good drinks, & a pleasant work environment makes this coffee shop a great choice for anyone looking to work away from the office.
