We went right at opening & got a table right away as we were the first ones there but it filled up very quickly, which speaks to its popularity! It has a nice atmosphere with speakeasy vibes as the bar is in the basement. The drinks were good but very strong. The menu also had fun characters with drink vibes which added to the experience. The entrance was it a bit confusing though as we thought the exit door which faces the street (Rue St. Paul) was the entrance.
We had a blast & enjoyed our drinks so much we ordered the same cocktails 2x. The atmosphere is perfect & the menu is creative without being unapproachable. The Sallerac was my personal fav.
Had an amazing time at The Coldroom. Such a chill spot, tucked away with a cool vibe, good music, & just an easy place to hang out.
Huge shoutout to Luis behind the bar. He was incredible all night, super friendly, really knowledgeable, & clearly passionate about what he does. He took the time to chat with us, made great recommendations, & every drink he put together was spot on.
The cocktails were top tier, the service was genuine, & the whole experience felt effortless in the best way. Easily one of my favorite bars in Montreal. Will definitely be back.
J'ai référé 2 Américains à votre établissement lors de leur séjour à Montréal. Deux personnes ayant de la classe & du respect. Ils ont froidement été répondus lorsque vous vous êtes aperçus qu'ils parlaient uniquement an anglais. Vous étiez soudainement pleins & ils n'ont jamais eu de retour d'appel après qu'ils aient été placés sur votre liste d'attente. Très décevant & non Canadien comme comportement, d'autant que vous êtes situés au coeur du Vieux Montréal.

We went to this bar on a recommendation from a friend. It was fun to find the entrance & be let in. It's a very cool atmosphere & definitely feels like a sneaky secret. We sat at the bar & Milee was our bartender. She was super lovely & made wonderful drinks. We established that we had some Vancouver connections & she helped with Montreal recommendations. The bar itself was great & then Milee took it to the next level. 11/10 recommend & 20/10 to Milee 🙂
Un endroit qui indique ne pas prendre de réservation mais qu'il y a une liste pour entrer. On a attendu dans la file un bon moment avant de se faire dire que nous n'étions pas sur la liste & qu'on devait attendre 1.5 pour entrer. Avoir su, nous n'aurions pas attendu dans la file. On a changé d'établissement & nous ne prévoyons pas y retourner.

If you haven't found The Coldroom yet - follow the duck. Ring the bell, head downstairs, & prepare to be impressed. Hidden in a converted cold storage warehouse in Old Montreal, this place has incredible vibes, seriously great cocktails, & some of the most knowledgeable & welcoming bartenders in the city. The kind of bar you bring every out-of-town guest to just to see their reaction. An absolute gem.
Lewis was excellent from start to finish. He was professional, knowledgeable, & took the time to explain everything clearly. The cold room is working perfectly & you can tell he takes pride in doing the job right. He arrived on time, worked efficiently, & left everything clean & organized. I would definitely recommend Lewis to anyone looking for reliable & high-quality service.
Can't really judge the food, but the concept of this bar is quite interesting, they have funny drinks related to ducks. The drinks are good, not my favorite but still good quality.
Good place for drink.
Hidden bar thingy isn't true anymore since people have posted the door & bell picture directly so we found it very conveniently.
Drinks overall were good, not much options in the food. Cheese sandwich is a good choice btw

Such a great space with delicious cocktails & an awesome speakeasy vibe! Cocktail bars can often feel pretentious, but the staff & atmosphere at The Coldroom made me feel so comfortable. Jeanne was the absolute best bartender I've ever had at a cocktail bar, so friendly & sweet! I'll definitely be coming back!
This place was soooooo worth the wait! The cocktails were super creative, the vibes we're immaculate, & special shout out to Millie for taking some time out to giving us some amazing recommendations for the rest of our trip. So far this is the best place we've been to in Montreal
This place is absolutely phenomenal. The service & the bouncers absolutely look out for their girls if you're a female & it's the first time you are in Montreal I hundred percent recommend this place.
Such a great vibe. Music is the right volume where you can talk, bartenders are phenomenal at their craft, professional, & welcoming. It's hard to find, but well worth the search
