Afficher toutsandwiches(25) coffee(22) sandwich(21) cafe(15) latte(8) fresh(8) recommend(6) cutlet(6) bread(6) chicken(4) porchetta(4) tomatoes(4)I genuinely cannot understand how a coffee shop can only have ONE outlet. & the best part? Realizing after I had already ordered my 6$ latte. Apparently the owner decided to remove them, would love to hear the logic behind that.
Great little sandwich place in the West Island, delicious & good value. Great coffees & sweet treats as well. We usually take out but there is a sitting area as well. Would highly recommend!
I enjoyed a fresh Zeppole & cafe latte. Great food & great coffee. I also liked the atmosphere - not too loud, great to catch up with friends or do work.
Absolute gem of a place. Coffee is excellent, sandwiches are very fresh, great portion & at a very very reasonable price. Staff is polite & the place is clean. This area has needed something like this since Suzanna's has closed.
Clean & warm place to have coffee, drinks & sandwiches. Portion & quality was good.
Nice , busy place. Great large sandwiches (a friend & I split half-half) & coffee for a break.
Clarke Café is a really nice spot with high-quality coffee, tasty cakes, & fresh sandwiches. The atmosphere is great if you're looking for a place to work or just chit-chat with friends. But if you are looking for somewhere cozy & quiet I wouldn't suggest that!
One of the best cafés in the west island, you may try their coffee (Latte) & croissant (special mention to their Almond, Pistachio or Chocolate).
I usually get the chicken cutlet sandwich. It is very filling, tasty, & relatively quick. Also fun to walk around the furniture store post meal + coffee.
we ordered an iced americano & a matcha latte, both were really good! BUT the highlight were the chocolate croissant & the scone- they were amazing! they also sell sandwiches & desserts, as well as other Italian products such as spreads, pastas & sauces! would recommend to anyone who wants to have a little coffee break or a little study session, the atmosphere is good & the staff are very friendly! ☺?
I have sampled a few of their sandwiches & this location of Clarke Café offers exceptional products.
The sandwiches are large enough to share & excellent value (around $15). They are full of toppings, which you can customize to suit your tastes. We recently shared the porchetta sandwich made'Frank's Way' with marinated eggplant, hot peppers, sun dried tomatoes & a delicious spread, along with the usual lettuce & tomatoes. The bread is the star of the show as it is both crisp & fluffy & stands up to a car ride if you are not opting to eat in.
They also carry some amazing products from chef Danny Smiles, Angry Paesano & Pastamalfi - among others.
There are also great desserts & excellent coffee served here. Worth a stop for a quick or extended lunch when you are by Hwy 40/St Charles Blvd area.
I've recommended Cafe Clark to many of my friends as I myself love going there at least once a week. Majority of the time, I order my usual cappuccino & grilled vegetables sandwich. It has been my favorite. But today I had the most disappointing sanding since the Cafe has opened. They vegetables were definitely not grilled, the bread was so soggy that the bottom portion was stuck to the paper in the basket. Over that, the bread wasn't toasted. As a chef, I hate to complain as I know working in a kitchen ,you rarely get appreciated for the work you do. Will I go back, probably yes. It could have been any reason for this mishap, new cook, too many customers or whatever. I just hope that on my next visit, I will have compliments not complains.
Positive feedback is, service, behind the counter employees & ambiance is excellent. & so is your coffee.
Food is great. The Croissants are to die for. The sandwiches are excellent. The coffee is good but uneven (depending who's at the espresso machine).
Note: I find paying $0.80 to have your cold coffee sweetened is a on the pricey side. I am talking about simple syrup & non flavored syrup. Especially when a coffee is 5$…
I very much enjoy the coffee! The
Pastries & sandwiches & very good.
Its got a really nice vibe; busy, spacious & bright
I have eaten here several times. The food is great but I need to write a review because there is a common issue that keeps popping up & I cannot ignore it anymore. 4 times this is happened to me & I don't think this is a coincidence. I place orders & I get home, check my bill & realize they have overcharged me or charged for something else. Today I ordered 2 sandwiches. They each come with 3 toppings. I added extra sundried tomatoes ($2.50). First off, $2.5!!!! for a few dried tomatoes? then I realized they charged me twice when I ordered just for one sandwich. Last time I was there I ordered 2 regular coffees & they charged a Latte instead & a regular coffee. I was in a rush & did not realize. Train for staff to listen carefully, come on now. One time I'll let it fly but 4 times!?
Although I'm thrilled to finally have a nice cafe in the west island with good food, I have a few things that bother me about the place. The owner asked me & my friend to move tables at least 4 times. On every occasion, it's been because of the "lunch rush", however it was a weekday every single time & the tables that he freed up stayed empty. I would understand if it had been hours on end, but I personally think that spending 1h-1h30 at a coffee shop as a paying customer is not asking for much, especially when I can tell no customer is waiting for a table. Also the matcha more often tastes like milk rather than an actual matcha latte.
