To the Ciccio's owners:
Absolutely amazing addition to Montreal. As a major experienced foodie, your bread is fresh, your sandwiches are tasty, your meat is freshly cut, & your drink options are awesome, you also make some very good coffee & hot chocolate! Nic at the downtown location is awesome. Sandwiches are always on par no matter the location. Glad you opened this & I hope you can keep the quality with time (seems to be a very hard & rare thing restaurants in Montreal can do).
My constructive criticism: some of your staff lack experience in the way they communicate or handle customers, which might impact your reputation. Maybe have someone that can lead & train them how to operate in this type of restaurant properly.
Me & my grandma were visiting Montreal for the day when we came to Ciccos for lunch, & it was very good. I got a sandwich with prosciutto, mozzarella, & tomatos, & my grandma can't remember what she got & both were 10/10! These sanwiches are a bit more expensive but you can tell the bread & ingredients are fresh & high quality! I saw them cut the prosciutto with a slicer. Not speaking French was not a problem & it's a cute & aesthetically pleasing inside. The seating area outside is also nice. Overall it was a nice experience & I'd come back for sure!
I'm disappointed with the two last tonno panini's I've ordered in the past 6 months. The bread of the first one this year (February 2025) was charmed almost too burned to be eaten & it was missing flavour. The bread of the second one ordered today (June 2025), was too toasted - the kind that bruises the roof of your mouth. & again, it was lacking spices & taste. At almost $20 for a panini, no drinks or dessert added, I feel like the quality & taste of the paninis ordered lately have lowered… & that's a shame because they used to hit the spot.
I got their Muffuletta, cappuccino, & pistachio tiramisu & it was the best meal I had in Montreal. I'm a big fan of Italian sandwiches & their New Orleans version of this was truly phenomenal - crispy bread, just the right amount of preserved veggies, quality meats, & a thick slab of mozzarella (which is a slight ding in the aesthetics b/c I couldn't fit the sandwich in my mouth). I will spread the gospel of Ciccio's upon my return & pray they open in NYC.
Ciccio's is all about getting back to basics-with real style. The quality of the food stands out right away. The vibe is awesome, & the staff are super chill & friendly.
You have to try the porchetta-thin slices of perfectly seasoned pork roast, fresh cheese, & their signature mayo. It's seriously delicious.
Fantastic Sandwiches!!
We had the Caprese & Porchetta & they were very good quality.
We had the Pistachio Tiramisu for dessert & it was one of the best we've had.
There is only one table but some stools at the window & counter also benches outside.
So it's mostly take out.
Ordered on uber & it was very good. You can tell they use high quality ingredients & the bread is very great it has a hard crust & soft interior . Only thing I can say is the sauce is a little light handed.
First off the ciccio sauce is AMAZING!!!
The perfect spot for a quick bite right in the historic old area of Montreal! I stopped here before catching my train, & I'm glad I did.
The staff here are wonderful, & the aesthetics of this sandwich shop are a modern old town feel with bright orange branding - I loved it!
I got the Primo sandwich & it was incredible. My favourite was the homemade ciccio sauce. It was similar to a mayo/butter but better!!! It had dill, slight garlic flavour & spices in it & the perfect amount of creaminess to balance out the lettuce, cheese & mortadella. You can tell the bread is also quality 🤌🏻
I'd definitely come back. Next time I plan to try the coffee as well because I've heard it was good & the espresso machine looked quality.
10/10 :)
Ciccio's was the first place we went after arriving in Montreal. It was perfect! Simple but delicious sandwiches made with quality ingredients. The owner was very friendly & helpful. We 100% recommend you go there!
Neat little cafe with a somewhat retro-Italian atmosphere. The sandwiches are their prime offering for food. Pricy but not unexpected given the area. The quality definitely hit. Service was also pleasing, I appreciated that the girl asked how I liked the food afterwards.
Un vero panino italiano! I was passing by & got caught by the cozy & charming place to only ecounter a great sandwich for breakfast & excellent coffee, the team at Ciccio's is very warming, not to mention the incredible taste & quality of the food, the muffuletta sandwich is something you should definitely try if you want to be transported to Italy.
These sandwiches are perfect! The fresh ingredients, amazing combination of flavours, & the high quality bread! We made sure to eat here twice on our 4-day trip :)
Cool location to grab a panini in the old port! Prices are what you would expect to pay for a sandwich in that location. Quality panini, would definitely go back! Love the vibe of the place as well. We had the muffuletta & porchetta (pictured). Muffuletta was my favourite but they are both very good.
A quaint lunch spot that makes classic Italian panini with quality ingredients. Try their specialty coffees & pistachio tiramisu!
Awesome place & great quality food! Special thanks to Mackenzie for her amazing service!
High review rating is absolutely deserved! Food quality & excellent service
Was skeptical at first since i really wanted a focaccia sandwich, spoke with one of the guys that works there (who turned out to be the owner) & explained to me how they make the sandwich & bake their own bread. Decided to give the Muffuletta a try & I was blown away with the quality of ingredients they use & the delicious taste! Will definitely go back & try their desserts as well!
I am thoroughly impressed! The quality of their ingredients is fantastic. I took the prosciutto & moza panini as well as the eggplant parmigiana. Both were fresh & perfectly made. Very reminiscent of paninis straight from Italy! The only negative thing I have to say is in regards to their pistachio tiramisu. I'm sorry but $8 for two spoonfuls is insane. I included a photo to show the comparison to a spoon. On top of that, no pistachio taste was in sight. This is my only complaint! The staff was great, the spot was clean & nicely decorated. Overall, I would recommend for a visit!
Enjoyed a light lunch here on a busy Saturday with sandwiches & coffees. Great sandwich bread! Overall, everything was very tasty. Good quality coffee. Service is very good. The place, including the bathroom, is clean. Very nice, uplifting vibe with the orange colour theme. Recommend.
VERY good sandwich. It's on the pricey end, but that is because it's quality products. Also, expect to wait a bit, but again, it's because everything is made to order. Highly recommended if you like high-quality Italian deli sandwiches.
