Established in 2019, their business specializes in a popular Korean street food – Korean rice dog, that will include rice flour batter wrapped hot dogs, spicy sausages, all mozzarella rice dog and an option that’s half hot dog and half mozzarella cheese. The batter-dipped sticks are coated with optional toppings, from diced potato to breadcrumbs, and freshly fried on the spot.
Reviewers describe Chungchun Kogo Coreen as a small casual spot offering Korean style hot dogs with a crispy batter and a playful range of toppings, from mozzarella and potato coated to cheese and sausage options, including Doritos variations, with a solid lineup of dipping sauces like chili mayo, spicy mayo, teriyaki, and sweet and sour. The atmosphere is cozy and affordable, ideal for a quick bite and often considered instagrammable. The staff are repeatedly praised for friendliness and helpful recommendations, even during busy periods. Some reviews note the downtown location and a Chinatown branch and recall years of steady quality, though a few mention changes in the batter that can leave a dog soggy and a sense that consistency has fluctuated. Overall, it comes across as a beloved go-to snack spot with a distinctive menu and repeat visits, tempered by occasional service hiccups or perceived dips in quality during peak times.
Great tasting Korean style rice-battered hotdogs. Always a stop every time I visit MTL. Variety of options including nonpork & vegan option. Opens until late, you can find in or have a bite on the go. Their Passion Fruit & Mango drinks are the bomb. For both times I've visited I haven't experienced slow service or lines compared to other reviewers. If you're lucky enough you may find parking in Rue Pierce in front.
First time trying it, very yummy crunchy snack with toppings of your choice. I especially like the cheese filled with doritos toppings fried. A must try!
Very disappointed from my experience here. While saucing my kogos, the employee kerby dropped some on his hand & wiped it off a napkin & proceeded to hand me that napkin with my kogos. Also, I saw him itch his derrière before handing me my kogos. Wont be coming again.
I ordered the Halal beef bulgogi kogo & it was super flavorful. I added the teriyaki sauce but honestly it was already pretty tasty without it. The staff was super friendly too. Don't forget to try their juice!

Disappointing Experience I recently visited Chungchun & unfortunately had a disappointing experience. Despite having order #53, I waited for at least 20 minutes while others with higher order numbers were served before me. When I finally ask & received my order, I was disappointed to find that the portion size was smaller than usual. I hope the management takes steps to improve their service efficiency & maintain portion consistency in the future.
First time trying the place. I'll be sure to go back to try other items offered. I remember when the place was 1000000 comix comic book store way back when.

First time that I was having a Korean-style hot dog or commonly know as a corn dog. I didn't know what to except or which one to get. So I asked the girl at the counter. She was extremely helpful & friendly. I order the ChungChun which is the original one & I also got the Ramen chip. You can customize it with different type of sauces. I kindly asked the employees to choose for me since I didn't know what to choose but also didn't know which options will be better. I wish I could remember what sauces she put but I don't. She used at least 3. I'm not sure if I should call it the batter or breading, regardless it was delicious. It was soft but crunchy at the same time. The sausage was also very tasty. I took about 6 to 8 minutes to get the food, which is fine since I wasn't in a rush. Give this comment a thumbs up if it helped you in choosing this place.
I LOVED the gwangjang fries they have with the sauce that comes with it! Prices are very reasonable & employees are very nice. Only flaw is the lack of seating.
