I went to the chicha san chen bubble tea place in toronto & I became a fan of their bubble tea. I came back to montreal & tried the store here & I was extremely disappointed by their bubble tea. Montreal store should maintain the standard & quality of the bubble tea that chicha san chen is known for.

Wanted to try & see what the hype was about. The location is convenient as it's on the corner of St Laurent Blvd & Viger but it's a very small store & got crowded, so not an ideal place if you wanted to sit & have your bubble tea. It's perfect for takeout. The service was a bit slow & took a while to be served as the two people behind the counter weren't facing us & busy tidying up. I ordered the standard milk tea & didn't want to deviate too much. For the price, I found it a bit overpriced for the size you receive. It was fun to watch the tea being made in front of me & it was a nice option to choose the level of sweetness & ice. The bubbles were soft & sweet, & had just the right chewiness to it. The holder was cute but I felt it was a bit unstable so found it to be useless. Overall, my experience was average & not sure I'd return for the milk tea. I may go back to try the other flavors.

The milk tea was OK, I don't see the hype that says it's really good, considering it's not cheap. The bobas were a bit hard for my liking. I wish they were more chewy or soft. The formosa fruit tea is highly recommended- light, refreshing, & sweetened just right. The ambience is another story. Will I come back? Maybe I'll pass.

Chica Sanchen is a standout spot in Montreal, known for its unique & exceptional drinks. Their Peach drink is rich & creamy, with perfectly chewy pearls, while the Fruit Formosa Tea offers a refreshing twist. The always-busy lineup is a testament to their popularity, proving that their bubble tea offers a completely different experience compared to other spots in Chinatown. With fair prices & consistently high quality, Chicha Sanchen is definitely worth the wait.

My recent visit to the bubble tea shop was just okay. While the ambiance was pleasant & the shop was clean, I found the overall experience to be somewhat underwhelming. One of the main drawbacks was the limited selection of flavors available. The menu was mostly floral tea-based options, which might appeal to some, but didn't quite hit the mark for me. I was hoping for a wider variety to choose from, including some classic & fruity flavors.

This is not your typical bubble tea, its a very different bubble tea experience. Here you can really taste the ✨quality✨of the ingredients. A + point for me would also be that the cup comes with a holder ! Very cute concept.

We got two drinks: the "Bubble Milk Tea", 8.5/10. The tea/drink is definitely high quality, creamy, flavorful & the boba has the right chewiness. The "Dong Ding Oolong Tea + Fresh Milk" is a 0/10. No flavour. I could only taste the milk. Prices are on the high end. The store is really small, so it can get crowded quickly. Customer service was great, though. Overall, I think it was pretty good but I wouldn't line up for this & would only get a drink here as a treat *occasionally*. I definitely wanna come back some time & try the other drinks though. Maybe it'll make me revisit more often!

The teas did taste good. However, it is a small shop, & gets crowded easily. Management also needs to work on communication between staff. My partner was really looking forward to trying the milk bubble tea, & ordered it with oat milk. However, after waiting for a long time, we were told that they don't have oat milk & was forced to change his order so he had to pick something random quickly. As it's our first time here, it was hard to choose. He did like it afterwards, but not what he was expecting to get, & disappointing as we should've been told right away that they don't have oat milk in stock. The taro was good as they use real taro but it hid the tea taste.
