Review Summary

Chicha San Chen is widely regarded as a premier destination for bubble tea in Montreal, consistently praised for its high-quality, authentic tea brewed fresh to order using sophisticated equipment rather than powdered mixes. Many customers highlight the flavorful, aromatic nature of the teas and the superior texture of the honey-infused tapioca pearls, noting that the menu allows for customizable sweetness and ice levels. While the shop is frequently described as a small, takeaway-focused venue with no indoor seating and occasional long wait times, most reviewers find the premium experience and attentive service worth the price. Although some guests have reported inconsistent service experiences or limited availability of certain flavors, the general consensus celebrates the establishment as a standout spot in Chinatown that delivers a sophisticated and refreshing beverage experience.

Taro Queen is very delicious. The tea flavor is fragrant (especially green tea), the chewy taro pearls are very interesting. The staffs are friendly :)

The tea series are unique with 3 black teas & 3 green teas. The fruit teas are really good as well. The taro series are the special one because they use the fresh taro base & taro ball

Had really strong taste of tea unlike most boba places, asked for no ice & the drink came warm (but it's fine, didn't really know what to expect). Tapioca was very good & seemed fresh! $9+ for a small size was kinda rough but would probably come back to try something else
