Definitely going Back there.
This was my second time ordering the platter for 2 from Chez Titas, & once again it was amazing! The portion easily feeds 3 people. Everything was delicious-perfectly cooked rice, crispy lumpia, flavourful chicken skewers, fried chicken, grilled chicken, & tender pork belly.
Consistent quality, generous portions, & great value. Definitely one of my go?to spots for comfort food.
Pardon the half-eaten photo because I was too hungry & forgot to take them beforehand. What you see isn't the full portion since I had already started eating.
I ordered the Tita's Platter, which includes 2 cups of rice, 2 pork BBQ skewers, 5 lumpiang shanghai, lechon, atsara, 2 pieces of chicken (fried or Mang Inasal style), & sauces. I'd rate it more of 3.5/5 stars.
Portions were generous & overall the food was decent, but a few items could use more flavour:
-The lumpia sauce tasted like a watered-down sweet chili.
-The lechon had good flavour, but the pieces I received were mostly fat & I would have preferred more meat.
-The fried chicken had a nostalgic taste similar to the chicken my grandma used to make, although the pieces we received were a bit overcooked.
-The pork BBQ tasted like a regular BBQ skewer. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either. The pork was hard to chew. It must be the cut of pork they used.
I've had Filipino food my entire life, whether from my family or my friends' families, & I haven't found anything in the West Island that beats that home cooking. So maybe my expectations are naturally a bit higher.
This place is still newly opened, so I'm hopeful the flavours will develop over time. There's definitely potential for improvement.
We ordered take out from Chez Titas for my wife's birthday. All the food was absolutely delicious. The fried chicken, pork skewers, crispy pork egg rolls all amazing. I have five kids (aged 4 to 15) & they all found something they liked.
Service when picking up the food was super friendly & welcoming.
Highly recommend. Try them out, you'll be happy you did!
Love this place! So happy to finally have a Filipino resto close to both home & work. The'Titas Platter' is a must, that fried chicken is so good! Even my son devoured the pancit! I'm usually not big on sisig, but theirs won me over. Can't wait to come back & try the rest of the menu 😊
Tried a large variety plate with fried chicken glazed bbq pork skewers spring rolls & crispy pork belly & everything was an explosion of flavour. Fried chicken reminded me of jolibees with gravy! Prices were very affordable for so much food to share.
Tried this new spot in the neighborhood & I'm glad I did. First time having Filipino food, so I went with the fried chicken & pancit bihon. The chicken was super crispy without that greasy aftertaste, & really tasty. The pancit was light but flavorful, with tender chicken & veggies mixed in - simple, delicious comfort food. Excited to come back & explore more of the menu!
Absolutely loved the food here! Every dish was packed with flavor & brought back memories of home. The authenticity of the Filipino cuisine is spot on - perfectly grilled ( inihaw chicken) fried chicken, pork bbq, & the MUST HAVE chicken sisig!! You can really taste the love & tradition in every bite. Highly recommended for anyone craving real Filipino comfort
Staff are very friendly!!
Kudos to the Chez Titas Team!!!
