The burgers & hot dogs were out of this world some of the best I've had in the whole city genuinely insane every component in the burger was outstanding & the hot dog just awesome. Poutine fries cheese curds up there for the best in the city sauce slightly sweet awesome
Burgers here hit the spot! People working there are quite friendly. The only downside is that there is limited space to dine in if you are more than 2 people! Many people do end up doing takeout!

Great spot. I highly recommend the bacon burger. The staff is pretty friendly & nice too. The only problem is that there are not that many tables to sit if you're in a group of bigger than 2 people
I was conflicted whether to order a burger at the Time Out Market or something more exotic but I kept getting drawn to Chez Simon & boy was that the right decision. I wanted to try poutine in Montreal but found my one attempt earlier in the week anti-climatic. I decided to try it again here & it was everything I dreamed of. Crispy fries (the fries were great), nice brown sauce & millions of squeaky cheese curds. This is what I thought poutine should be & I loved it, they did an incredible job. I took out the middle bun in the Mr Big burger (could not understand the French menu) & it was an excellent burger, but it was the poutine that stole the show.
They have a 60yr old bar across from the kitchen, coolest rustic seating to demolish your food. That's not the best part…the service is worth the visit alone. Owner, manager, & 3 staff all felt like long time friends. Extremely good energy, makes u want to work there lol. Smash burger was a solid 11/10, basic poutine was so good I ate the whole thing before touching my burger. Would I come back? I would live in the outdoor patio if I could.
Ça faisait longtemps que je voulais essayer ce resto dans le quartier Mercier-Est quand je suis allé pour dîner le 22 novembre dernier & je n'ai pas été déçu. J'avais pris le Smash Burger & les frites. Le burger était bien asaissonné & les cornichons (que je ne mange pas habituellement) ont aidé à couper la chaleur du "spiciness" des frites, que j'ai aimé. La prochaine fois je vais essayer les Chili Fries.
I had the smash burger & poutine. The smash burger was good but was disappointed with the portion. I didn't like the poutine sauce. The staff is friendly & polite. Warm & small restaurant.

Honnêtement les meilleurs burgers que j'ai goûté de ma vie. Un véritable voyage gustatif, un staff vraiment friendly & Simon la légende présent en personne le vendredi pour faire nos burgers
My friend & I were just there for lunch & everything was awesome. I had the bacon burger, she had their classic burger & we both had fries. We will both be going back there for sure.
Came here because of the reviews & it was excellent. Poutine was very good but the smash burger plain was the highlight & one of the best burgers I've had. The house sauce is amazing so I didn't need to add ketchup/mayo as I usually would. My friend had another burger & loved it too. Great service as well. Would strongly recommend this place.

Man...I'm writing this after finishing my T-Town burger in two minutes, waiting to order my second one. It's A-MA-ZING!! Do yourself a favor & order one (at least) when you are here. The servers were fantastic, making me & friends comfortable with our order in English.
One of the best burger spots in Montreal, hands down! It easily ranks in the top 3 & worthy of all the praise. The burger was bursting with flavor, & the pricing was very reasonable. The staff was incredibly friendly & helpful, which made the experience even better. This place is definitely a must-visit in Montreal, & their location at the Time Out Market is just as good.
I think their "smash burger" might be the best in Montreal. The one with a slice of pea meal bacon on it. Absolutely outstanding & worth making the trip over there. Super tasty fries as well
