Super nice local place. Came here on a 5 hour layover from the airport. Guy was super friendly, spoke English & French & was happy to chit chat. The poutine was good & very much enjoyed the sandwich. Accepts card. Didn't see wifi advertised but didn't ask.
I think I have officially had the best lunch experience in my life right in this spot. The owner (one man show) is the greatest example of the most genuine best hard working chef in Canada. The whole lunch was an experience I will not soon forget. Great conversations with the owner, other patrons in the restaurant & you almost forget how delicious the food is he prepares for you with the most care & quality one can offer. Thank you Chef, this was an incredible experience for me & my friend, keep up the great work, & don't ever retire;). You made our trip from Toronto to Montreal 1000% worth it.
Stopped by here during my shift because I saw all the reviews & it wasn't too far out of my way. I ordered the smoked meat sandwich & I cannot recommend it enough (the fries were great also)!
I wasn't in the store for long but André gave good, fast service & was great ro speak to. I'll definitely be eating here again if I have the chance
One of the best burger place I have had the pleasure to try. It was delicious, brioche bread, made in house patty (all meat no filler) in a friendly & welcoming atmosphere by the owner/operator. It will be for my wife & I our go to Burger joint from now on.
I went out of my way to try this spot because many people were praising the Poutine.
The owner was super nice & friendly, he definitely loves what he does.
The Food:
The fries were very undercooked, gorged in oil & bland tasting.
The cheese curds melted, far from'squish-squish' if that's what your standard is. Take-out or delivery would be much worst.
The sauce was good, definitely not your run of the mill poutine sauce. Closer in taste to gravy for a roast.
Price: I found it very expensive. For two small poutines & two sodas it came to $49 including tip. The price wouldn't have shocked me if the servings would not have been so tiny.
I rate MY experience a 3.5/5

J'ai commandé le trio L'Gros Gourmand, & c'était excellent. La viande du burger était incroyablement savoureuse, avec une légère note fumée grâce à un mélange parfait de boeuf & de viande fumée. La portion était copieuse, & les garnitures, très fraîches, apportaient une touche croquante & vibrante. Les frites cuites dans du suif de boeuf étaient une découverte-uniques & délicieuses, c'était ma première fois & j'ai adoré leur goût riche & distinct. L'Gourmand est un incontournable pour une cuisine généreuse & savoureuse avec une touche personnelle.

I ordered the L'Gros Gourmand trio, & it was outstanding. The burger's meat was incredibly tasty, with a subtle smoky flavor from a perfect blend of beef & smoked meat. The portion was generous, & the garnishes were fresh & crisp, adding a vibrant touch. The fries, cooked in beef tallow, were a unique & delicious surprise-my first time trying them, & I loved their distinct, rich flavor. L'Gourmand is a must-visit for hearty, flavorful food served with a personal touch.
We went to this restaurant for the first time & it won't be the last!! We ordered an all dressed pizza & a fish n chips! We did take-out! The food was absolutely delicious! The fish was nice & flaky, the fries have a nice sweetness to them & the pizza is amazing! The crust is perfect & the toppings were bountiful! The owner is super nice & funny! We really enjoyed chatting with him! We will definitely go back!
If you're in Montreal & want a burger that truly delivers, this spot by the water is the place to go. The burger was juicy from the first bite, with sauces, dressings, & toppings layered so well that every bite felt balanced & full of flavor. Nothing slid out or overpowered anything else, it all just came together in the best way possible.
The beef itself was smoky, tender, & cooked just right, while the bun held everything together without getting soggy. Pair that with the beef tallow fries, which were crispy, golden, & packed with a rich flavor you don't find often, & you've got a meal worth remembering.
The prices make it even better, giving you high-quality food at a cost that feels totally fair. On top of that, the service was warm, quick, & genuinely welcoming.
Between the juicy burgers, perfectly layered toppings, & those unforgettable fries, all set against a waterside backdrop, this place is an easy favorite to come back to.
Super friendly service & terrific hamburger & fries. Nice little spot a block away from the Lachine lakeshore. Eat in their small dining area it take out, but most of all, don't miss out. Go see what all the reviewers are talking about!

Fantastic find. The reviews did not lead us astray. Went here two nights in a row for easy & delicious takeout. Found something for everyone in our large group. I think we tried almost everything on the menu & it was all great. Owner was super friendly & accommodating.
I've a new favorite burger in Montreal & this is where you find it. Really friendly folks who forgave my awful attempts at speaking french & have me a delightful meal & great service.
Fair warning, after eating les pommes frites, I'm coming back for the poutine.

I stumbled upon this gem on Google, & I'm so glad I did! The food was absolutely delicious; I had the pulled pork, & it was cooked to perfection, tender & flavorful. Their poutine was also fantastic, with the perfect ratio of cheese curds to gravy, & the fries were crispy. But the real star of the show was the smoked meat - some of the best I've ever had. Beyond the incredible food, the owner was amazing, so welcoming & friendly, making the whole experience even better. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a truly delicious & enjoyable meal.
