Super bar, la bouffe est excellente, très goûteuse & les portions sont généreuses! Le seul bar qui sait faire de vrais martinis!! Le negroni blanc est excellent! Le service est toujours impeccable !!

Legit a real hidden gem, it's always an incredible time. Also, they have a vegan option that they have clearly put a lot of thought into, which my girlfriend appreciates, as most places will just serve up storebought vegan bacon or something, whereas here the dish is constructed from scratch, it's really a nice touch, & it goes a long way for people looking for that quality.
For the rest of the dishes, it's a small restaurant, but their menu is adventurous.
I have been to both this place, & Knuckles across the street, & honestly Knuckles falls short in comparison. It's a decent restaurant, but Knuckles is like experimental haute cuisine, & it can get a little pretentious (& pricey!) with the concepts, but falling short on the flavours... & it wasn't all that memorable. Whereas I've been to Chez Josie a bunch of times, & even brought my parents who own a restaurant, just because I know I can expect very flavoursome food, reasonable prices, & the atmosphere is really fun.
It's got a winning recipe inside & out.
The only thing I'll say that's a criticism- & it's kind of a small thing- but if it's busy on a weekend, the music from the bar can get really loud, & if you're eating, it can be hard to hear the person across from you!
But honestly, that's it. If you're looking for a really great spot, with food to impress, you really can't go wrong with this place. They clearly care about the food, & the experience, & if you go in summer, their terrace is awesome.

Ambiance très chouette, à priori c'est un bar mais il y a un peu de place pour danser près du DJ booth. Le mojito était pas pire. Tout est cher mais ça c'est la vie maintenant 🥹

Nous sommes venus tôt, car nous n'aimons pas le tumulte qui vient avec une clientèle trop nombreuse & je crois comprendre que nous avons bien fait de faire ainsi. Excellente nourriture, mais nous détestons les menus sur le téléphone à partir d'un code barre. Un beau tableau au mur permet d'économiser le papier aussi.
Très bel endroit. Un essentiel de Villeray. Les serveurs & les serveuses sont excellents. Surtout Emma. Par contre, parlons du gérant Nick. Quel être désagréable. Condescendance, autorité, rigide. Ça nuit à l'expérience. Je n'ai plus le goût de consommer dans votre bar à cause de lui.
Belle endroit & belle ambiance. Cependant le service laisse vraiment à désirer. On attend longtemps avant de se faire service, car le staff se divise mal le bar & gaspille énormément de pas. Il est inconcevable d'attendre 10 minutes pour commander des bouteilles de bières quand le bar est relativement rempli, mais qu'il n'y a pas de réel rush (surtout si l'on considère les prix qui sont assez élevés). En plus, le barman nous a crié après pour confirmer une commande relativement simple après beaucoup d'attente juste pour qu'il remarque notre présence. Aussi, ouvrir les bouteilles de bières avec un ouvre-bouteille plutôt que de les cogner au bar serait plus professionnel... en tout cas, beaucoup de potentiel, mais le service est franchement ordinaire.

La grande barmaid blonde au chapeau rose refuse systématiquement de servir des verres d'eau (particulièrement aux femmes) même lorsqu'on paye pour des consommations. Pas fort......... Je dirais même, inacceptable & irresponsable.
Nice little resto-bar. They have a selection of vegetarian & vegan menu items & fairly priced mocktails. On Saturday night, it gets nightclub loud & much harder to find waitstaff.
Finalement une option de fin de soirée qui fonctionne à Villeray! Décor qui reprend les origines de l'endroit avant l'ouverture... côté feutré de bar de quartier assumé... Maintenant une référence pour une 50 & un cocktail élégant à la même table ;-)

I liked it. It's a bit young & trendy so a bit of attitude is to be expected. The food was really good & the drinks were standard. Was expecting the louder music so that didn't bother me. At times staff was a bit too involved in their own social lives, but it's holiday time & it is a bar. I'd go again for a snack & a drink with someone I wouldn't want to sit with for a long multi-course meal 😁
La bouffe est délicieuse, & le service est NEXT LEVEL - je reviendrai pour sûr, & je tire mon chapeau à Vince & Marie qui ont été deux hôtes parfaits au bar !
