Fast & friendly service but very average poutine with very small cheese curds. Difficult to find a clean table or bench to eat, 10 of them were dirty before a someone came to wipe one for us.

Fantastic old style dinner! The smoked meat poutine was superb - delicious squeaky cheese, generous amount of tasty smoked meat shavings & thick umami rich gravy… damn!

The food is great! Can't complain on that. But I ordered a trio burger & replaced the fries with a poutine. Just like any other place they charge you extra for the cheese & the sauce. So far, still fair. But what I was surprised about is to get less fries. So I had to pay extra to get fries removed. & by doing so obviously they use less cheese & sauce. I've asked the owner about the difference, the only answer I got was that I got the poutine, so that's what I'm getting. In the pictures I uploaded you can see the difference in fries size.

La caissière était nouvelle, alors on repassera pour la question de la qualité du service.
Cependant le gérant était super attentif à mes besoins.

La nourriture est bonne, j'ai bien aimé le cheeseburger, qui ressemble à un smash burger. C'était bien bon !

Mais le hype sur la poutine je ne l'a comprend pas, car elle n'a rien d'extraordinaire comme d'autres gens l'a prétend.

I stopped by Gerard Patates after a soccer match with my boys, & we were pleasantly surprised! The staff & owner were incredibly friendly, & the food was fresh & delicious. We ordered a submarine trio & two trio cheeseburgers, & everything was great. While we were eating, the staff surprised us with a complimentary plate of freshly made donut holes-at least 20 of them! It was such a thoughtful gesture, & the kids were thrilled. I can't make it every week, but I'll definitely be back once a month. Long live Gerard Patates!

Credit where it's due, POUTINE was GREAT! Fries were good, cheese was quality & sauce was generous! The rest wasn't as memorable but I'd make a detour for the poutine if I was nearby!
