Review Summary

Chez Chili is widely regarded as a standout destination in Montreal's Chinatown for authentic, flavorful, and generously portioned Chinese cuisine, particularly specializing in Sichuan and Hunan styles. Guests frequently praise the restaurant for its fresh ingredients, consistent quality, and efficient, friendly service that makes it a popular choice for both quick lunches and social family-style dinners. While the basement setting provides a cozy, lively atmosphere, some diners suggest arriving early to avoid potential wait times. Although most experiences are highly positive, a few reviews note occasional inconsistencies in spice levels or service pacing during peak hours, yet the overall consensus remains that it is a must-visit spot for those seeking delicious, reliable, and reasonably priced meals.

Traditional Chinese food local in Chinatown, spicy, sweet & delicious. I love the Kung Pao Chicken & the fish with pickled mustard. The portions are perfect sized paired with a bowl of rice! Aside from Panda express, I would say, one of the best in West of Asian food.

Just ordered from here on uber eats. This place is the real deal for good Chinese in Montreal. Been looking for our go-to spot for months. Found it. Stir fried beef with ginger & scallions is especially excellent. Can't wait to try this place in person.

This place had some damn delicious Chinese food. We ordered the fried rice which was okay in my opinion, the General Tao Chicken was the bomb & the wonton soup which was delicious. You won't regret eating here. It was packed when we came in which says a lot about the place. It's in a basement setting with limited seating but served us well. We waiting 5 minutes to be seated but the servers were hustling. Great place to eat!

Delicious food & wonderful service. They were very kind & took extra steps to accommodate our group celebrating two birthdays. They can take reservations if you call in.
