This is a SOLID halal spot downtown. Delicious chicken sandwhiches & platters & the portion sizes are great too. Everything tasted fresh & good quality from the bread to the chicken. 100% would go again.

I tried two different Champion Doner locations in my hometown, Mississauga, & was blown away each time. So I was thrilled when they opened a location in my new city - & right in my neighbourhood too! I eat here nearly weekly. There are a number of Turkish restaurants downtown but this one is easily the greatest one. Amazing quality food - delicious, seasoned meats, fresh veggies, house made bread & a expertly crafted garlic sauce. Plenty of options - I rotate between the wrap, sandwich & the box as they are the most budget friendly. But once in a while I treat myself to a plate, which comes with a half piece of bread so you can make a little sandwich of your own. Service is also very good here. It's a comfortable place to sit & eat with lots of room, but I usually don't eat there since I'm closeby. They are close to the metro & open late - can't get any more convenient. They serve the food pretty fast too. I can't think of anything they don't do right here, deserves more than 5 stars.

We had the Champion Mixte for two at Donner Restaurant & it was great! The Adana, chicken, & beef doner were all flavorful, & the portions were huge; we honestly couldn't finish everything.
The fries were super fresh & crispy, & the bread came straight out of the oven, still hot & soft. The lahmacun was also really good.
Overall, great food, generous portions, & everything tasted fresh.

One of my go-to spots in downtown. What makes this spot stand out from ones like it are the variety of delicious sauces, the spicy one is espicially good. The bread was also very good the last time I went, would highly recommened this spot for a doner sandwich :)

From the first bite, everything makes sense. The meat is impossibly juicy, shaved fresh off the rotating spit like it was handcrafted by a kebab philosopher who understands balance, patience, & hunger on a spiritual level. Perfectly seasoned, crispy at the edges, tender in the middle - the kind of texture that makes you pause mid-chew & go yeah… this is it.

Then comes the bread. Warm, soft, slightly toasted, strong enough to hold the masterpiece inside without stealing the spotlight. It's not just a vehicle - it's a partner. Add the fresh vegetables for crunch, the herbs for brightness, & suddenly you've got contrast, harmony, architecture.

& the sauce? Unreal. Creamy, garlicky, spicy (if you're brave), tangy in all the right ways. The sauce doesn't just sit there - it ties everything together like a conductor leading an orchestra. Every bite hits different, yet somehow better than the last.

Doner Kebab is the rare food that works at any time. Midnight? Legendary. After a long day? Healing. Hungover? Medically necessary. It's comfort food that still feels exciting, fast food that somehow tastes crafted, street food that deserves a standing ovation.

Five stars isn't enough. Doner Kebab deserves its own category - a global treasure, a universal language, a reminder that sometimes the best things in life come wrapped in paper, dripping a little, & making you smile for no logical reason.
