This was a wonderful restaurant. The space was modern sleek & had a large open kitchen. Seating was comfortable & you could choose indoor or outdoor seating. The wait staff was extremely attentive. My wife & I ordered calamari as an appetizer & it was one of the best I have had. The cannellini bean dip & the pizzaiola sauce were perfect. My wife had the gnudi which were perfect little dumplings in an excellent tomato sauce. I had the linguini vongoli. The linguini was perfectly cooked served with a dozen little neck clams perfectly cooked. Overall a great experience
Everything from the food, to the service & the atmosphere were absolutely spectacular. The dishes was incredibly flavourful & of top-notch quality. Absolutely 0 complaints. Definitely a top restaurant in Montreal.

I am disappointed however with the cowgirl steak we ordered. It was $140 & it came cold, when we told the waitress, it was returned to the kitchen to be reheated , & then returned over cooked & flavourless. For a cut of $140 I expected much better. We told the waitress that we didn't like the steak , & we were offered shots , that we didn't want. I would have appreciated a better response.
The food & atmosphere at Celeste were outstanding! My husband & I had the carpaccio appetizer, & we shared the branzino as it was a large dish. Everything was flavorful, & the branzino was especially nice as it was a delicious dish. We celebrated a special occasion & were brought a very nice dessert! Thank you so much for making the evening such a memorable occasion. We will definitely return & would certainly recommend!
Absolutely amazing experience! The food was delicious, but what truly made our visit unforgettable was the service. It was beyond exceptional-friendly, attentive, & genuinely welcoming from start to finish. The staff went above & beyond to make us feel taken care of. You can tell they truly care about their customers. We'll definitely be coming back & highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food & outstanding service. 5 stars!
Une belle coquille vide : une attente interminable & un service sur le pilote automatique.
Si vous cherchez un bel endroit pour prendre des photos, le décor est effectivement magnifique. Mais si vous cherchez une véritable expérience de restauration, passez votre chemin. Pour un établissement qui se veut haut de gamme, c'est une immense déception. On est franchement mieux & plus chaleureusement servi dans une CANTINE !
Dès le départ, le service est d'un impersonnel glacial. Aucune présentation des plats, aucune introduction, aucune courtoisie élémentaire. On comprend rapidement que pour le personnel, nous ne sommes qu'un numéro.
La soirée a été une suite ininterrompue d'accrocs & de frustrations. Au moment de commander, on nous annonce qu'il manque déjà deux plats sur le menu. Décevant, mais on passe par-dessus. On choisit alors notre vin : encore là, le seul que l'on commande est en rupture de stock. On se rabat sur un rouge en pensant le boire avec nos entrées. Grave erreur de calcul : nous avons attendu 1 h 30 avant de voir le moindre plat arriver sur la table. Nous avons eu amplement le temps de commander & de finir deux bouteilles de vin au complet avant même de recevoir nos entrées. Quand les plats principaux sont enfin arrivés, la déception s'est poursuivie : des assiettes très ordinaires & excessivement dispendieuses.
Le summum du manque de professionnalisme a toutefois été atteint lors du dessert, alors que nous étions là pour célébrer un anniversaire. Sans jamais valider ses goûts, le serveur a déposé un dessert devant la fêtée. Le problème ? Il n'avait jamais apporté la carte des desserts au reste de la table. La fêtée a donc dû manger son dessert seule, mal à l'aise, pendant que nous attendions dans le vide. Il a fallu interpeller le serveur pour obtenir la carte, attendre un autre 10 minutes pour qu'il daigne nous l'apportez, & encore 10 minutes pour qu'il revienne prendre la commande.
Au total, nous sommes restés 4H30 dans ce restaurant, & la grande majorité de ce temps a été passée à attendre. On pouvait voir le patron s'agiter à l'arrière, passer derrière ses employés & tenter visiblement de rattraper la situation, mais ses bonnes intentions ne pouvaient pas compenser le désastre en salle. Notre serveur était sur le pilote automatique, totalement désintéressé, visiblement là uniquement pour finir son quart de travail.
Bref, si vous décidez malgré tout de tenter l'expérience, préparez-vous à travailler : vous devrez absolument TOUT demander. Qu'il s'agisse d'un verre d'eau, du pain, du menu ou d'une autre bouteille, le personnel n'a aucune proactivité & n'allume jamais par lui-même. Une expérience marketing visuelle réussie, mais une expérience humaine & gastronomique totalement médiocre.
