La Causette is easily one of the most welcoming, vibrant, & soul nourishing spots in the region! The atmosphere is colorful, warm, & feels just like being surrounded by family & friends.
What makes this place truly stand out is their deep commitment to eco friendly, sustainable practices. Everything is locally sourced, centered around recycling & composting, & made with love. Their menu is wonderfully balanced with fantastic vegetarian, vegan, & gluten free options available for all meals, plus no extra charge for the gluten-free bread, which is a huge win!
For savory cravings, adding grilled halloumi to their dishes (like the Shakshuka, Tartine Verte,'Pas si faux' or even to their mushroom benedict) is an absolute must. & their Eggs Benedict? Truly on another level, featuring an authentic, freshly made hollandaise.
To drink, you can choose from different kinds of coffee beans (definitely try & recommend the Barrike bean!), perfectly brewed & prepared by Laurie, hands down the best coffee in town alongside their refreshing smoothies. Make sure to leave room for their well-crafted desserts, especially the gluten-free chocolate brownies & orange almond cake.
A massive shoutout to Juliette, whose mindful presence & top tier customer service bring the whole experience to another level. Whether you're a local or just passing by Val-David, La Causette is an unmissable destination.

Awesome breakfast in a great location.

The classique was yummy & the bacon was crispy to perfection. Their homemade bread & strawberry jam was delicious.

Pricing was reasonable & the outdoor seating was comfortable.

Gluten free bread is not even an extra cost.

We came to visit from New Jersey, & we needed some breakfast they were open during Christmas & can I say this was the best food & drinks i've had in my life, Im a Polish American, I've tried lots of places & foods but this was duch a suprise, it was so good, it was a simple breakfast meal but yet it tasted so amazing. The egg was cooked perfectly, sausage & bacon was done just right & the bread & jam tasted so good, bread felt like it was homemade & it was crispy & soft to the right point. Amazing food, would come back even if it meant a couple hour drive. The lady who makes the hot & cold drinks makes them perfectly too. Amazing place If i could give 6 stars I would.
